Bumrah has got some balls to move away after pitching. But not too much movement on offer with the new ball. 

 

He is getting bounce off length and some balls are keeping low. 

 

Needs to use bouncers more often. Haven't seen a single one in his first 4 overs, even though he is getting bounce on this pitch.

He is treated aptly, its unfortunate that Indian domestic system is full of such lazy, meek trundlers who don't want to toil hard and find the easy way by hiding under the cloak of "line & length"...and such mediocrity is promoted all the levels in domestics.

 

It's really baffling that a 130k trundler like him bowls so many no balls...even express pacers like Lee, Tait, Akhtar etc were more in control with their landing than this journey man.

Even an old Sandeep Warrier would bring more to the table than these innocuous and gentle bowlers.

I can't think of any reason but the poor quality of our domestics.

 

All these likes of Sid Kaul, Unadkut, Vinay Kumar, Sreenath Aravind type bowlers are legend in FC...

 

As our selectors don't watch domestic matches, they merely go by stats and pickup the table toppers...plus there is no ownership on selectors and they continue to enjoy their tenure uninterrupted.

 

Selection process & coaching setup is easiest to change...make a criteria for selectors who should have played atleast 25 Tests or 50 ODI's. Pay of players & coaches should be linked directly to teams performance, just like software companies do. That will also ensure stat padding won't happen.

He served us well in Indian conditions, he is already 36 but still best fielder amongst fast bowlers, has a strong throw and can tonk spinners with bat.

Pitches need to improve to weed out run of the mill trundlers

Jo dikhega vahi bikega,pacers will perform better and will be able to learn to bowl better lengths adjustment time will shorten for SENA pitches

India won't earn anything now unless they improve pitches and change of the mindset I need of the hour

No amount of stat padding against depleted sides should be considered for team building

Mukesh was supposed to be a mediocre meme of a trundler who should have never succeded but it's still not a good look that within a month 2 debutants in red ball cricket have laid an egg for us.

Umesh was such a joy to watch in Indian conditions. So is Shami. Siraj blows hot and cold. Bumrah is the best bowler we have ever had. Sad that inspite of such a huge talent base we are stuck with trash like Mukesh to partner him. Next in line is Avesh and they are pushing for Arshdeep too. We had our best fast bowling attack when we had skillful bowlers capable of bowling 140+. Kohli deserves some credit for that as he was looking for bowlers who can bowl quick. He brought in Aaron when he became test captain. Bharat Arun did some great work with these  bowlers. But now with Rohit, Dravid and Mhambrey things are looking bleak as they are going back to trundlers in tests.

Bumrah bowling 140 k+ consistently in his first 2 overs and getting steep bounce off length / back of a length. Hitting the deck really hard.

 

Seaming the ball both ways and bowling the channel.

 

Won't be bad if he slips in a quick yorker.
