A very fast, bouncy and high quality pace attack has been chosen as a build up to BGT.

■  Express ..

Mayank .. tall

■  Fast ..

Bumrah

Harshit .. tall

Prasidh .. tall

■  Fast-medium

Akashdeep .. tallish

Siraj

Only pacer I am unsure of is Prasidh.

Think TM is seriously looking into Dayal as LAF

Just heard Ryan T’s interview. He said they will be giving opportunities to other guys in the last game. So Harshit is definitely playing. I hope they also play Mayank and not make the mistake of resting him. Could be an exciting line up in the last game.

Most teams clearly signal their express bowler to go full tilt and generate pace.

I don’t understand who in their right mind has asked him to bowl so many f slow deliveries.

From what I’ve seen in the comments, he started bowling multiple slow deliveries in the first over itself. WTF is going on here lol?

Also, when the captain doesn’t bowl your young quick for 8-9 overs, it’s signals the bowler to focus on line n length n variations. This cowardice needs to stop.

Now that he’s settling in, it’s time to go full pace regardless of the pitch and match condition. We are playing a T20 match against Bangladesh FFS.

i also want that but

1. Mayank is recovering and bowling first time in a match after a long time.

2. Coach does not want him to gift runs in a PLATTER in a t20 so it makes sense that he tries to get his variations also into place - for me this is acceptable as long as he has good slower ball and good control over his slower ball. in t20 Super fast pacer will be successfull with variations and i think morkel and GG are doing the right thing.

having said that i feel in  coming matches when he will be confident he will defintiely bowl between 150 to 156k which he is definitely capable.

washington messed up one wicket of MAYANK..a simple catch and he went a little more behind, he could have easily managed his body so he left the ball and saved runs instead and went above the rope.

he is an international fielder not a domestic player , i expected him to some how manage the catch.

he is SLIM ( not a fat ass ), he is extra tall , has greater reach , catch was no where as tough as Hardik's catch which Hardik caught running and many catches that other players have taken.

he fielded like SIRAJ( who misses a lot of catches ), siraj , khaleel, Varun , even nitish are definitely AVERAGE fielders. i have seen them missing catches.

ball khadi ho gayi thi ..time tha adjust karne ko. i have taken catches on boundry lines, if a tall guy is smart and is a good catcher ,he can take great catches.

top fielders , who kind of take catches more often- SKY, Jaddu, yashasvi , virat ( he misses too but still good fielder with great run saving fielding ),

bad- rohit/siraj/ashwin/khaleel/varun/ even Nitish ( he missed a straight catch coming at him recently , a sweep off the bowling of Varun)

They along with Nitish may be rested as they are selected as reserve for New Zealand test series

Nitish is one of the best fielder.

i wish and pray that he is a good fielder but the way he approached a Sweep shot and messed up, i could understand he is not a FINISHED product as a fielder.

i am kind of sure of my judgement- as of today his ground fielding could be good but his catching is like SIRAJ and Ashwin...kind of average.

we may see him in today's match, let me show you an example if he messes up a catch today or does not even try to approach a catch today.

see Hardik/jaddu even virat approaches the ball to catch it , only 25 % catches come straight in hand , rest catches one has to try and grab the opportunity. straight forward catches - he will be good but the one's in which one has to run or dive and make that into a catch. like washie caught that but lost his balance on the boundry line indicated washie also has room for improvement.

see hardik /jaddu /sky even virat they try hard and grab even 50 %opportunities, even see jurel- his keeping kind off grabs like kirmani used to grab the ball- clean

Khaleel is much better than Dayal.

I would prefer Khaleel as a travelling reserve too.

We would need a pool of 7 pacers for a 5 match test series in Aus. And Mayank isn't a realistic option in tests yet till he plays 2 FC matches and proves his fitness.

i kinda feel , bouncy Australian green tracks are stitched /customised for Mayank and Umraan. it is kind of foolish to not fly MAYANK to australia. Having said that i am not sure whether Mayank has the fitness to play in Australia for a 5 day test.

So from SKILL/SPEED Point of view- if Mayank can be played in a T20, he has got his debut with hardly any domestic cricket. Gautam and agarkar have already done the unthinkable BOLD decision and that has kind of worked even when Mayank has not stretched himself.

Mayank's debut in T20 is a 9/10 if we put a score on his debut. he has performed fairly good. had he breached 50k and got 4 wickets in 2 matches , i would have given him a score of 10/10.in one match he had got the wicket but washie put the ball down.

long story short- i want that mayank flies to australia and plays in the 4th or 5th test . till then he would have become stronger and would be ready to be in atleast 2 tests.

Mayank is there among the travelling reserves.

Umran isn't fully fit yet. They wanted him to play Duleep Ttophy but he got dengue and a hip injury at the wrong time.
