more than pace, I'm surprised about his lack of variation in length. Not enough full balls, no yorkers

thats why he is in travelling reserves in nex tests  and he will be trained by morkel and once trained he will fly to africa and australia.

Was checking Hawkeye for the test series against Bangladesh.

In the 2nd test 1st innings, probably 5th over, Bumrah bowled two deliveries at

147.8 k

147.2 k

Speeds of these deliveries were not shown on TV and no mention of this later either.  What pathetic coverage.

I don’t understand how they r getting away with this non sense. Not just not showing speeds, it looks like they end up not showing the highest speeds selectively.

This has been a problem with matches held in India. They r focusing more on meaningless statistics and banners instead of showing the bare minimum live statistics.

Completely brainless and possibly also biased?

One interesting thing I've observed in Mayank's case is that all his fastest deliveries in the 3 matches have come in the second over. I think first over is slight warm-up. The second one, he goes full throttle at least for a few deliveries.

Also today, he was facing some issues with his footing in the follow-through. Overall, he completed his spells in all three matches with minimum turnaround time. So that's a good sign. But he has to keep working on his rhythm for sure. The only reason everyone is so demanding when it comes to him is coz they know the kind of potential he's got :)

The broadcasting is v.low qaulity right from commentators to viewing value , infographic are low quality. And this has been like this for a longtime.

not sure if any Ind commentator asked/mentioned anything why mayank was not bowling full tilt

Nitish Reddy is a very innocuous pacer. Nothing like Hardik.

There is no1 near to pandaya in terms of bowling ability, reddy does not look like anything thing more than a 2-3 t20 kind of bowler right now.

Rt. now see him as Stonis and Marsh in terms of bowling if condition favours he can bowl else against stronger team would you risk 2 overs from him.

There is a ramakrishna gosh who played Mh-t20 league guess he was in same team as ruturaj looked sharp for the league and played in top-order in some games looked like has some kind of batting abilities

Sundar is not convincing as t20i player nt sure why he is so highly rated here, he is a simple off spinner who does not have any hitting ability to bat 6/7/8 and is a slow mover in the out-field would say he amongst the slowest.

He has only 2 shots -slog sweep against spin and hook over fine-leg, Parag looks a better prospect he can play as a pure batter can bowl off spin when needed a v.good out field fielder

Jio's broadcast quality is inferior.

Even their speedometer...at times it will get stuck at 98.x something, then will increase to 138-139 and after that advertisement will cover the screen.

I don't think Jio is mature enough to broadcast the games at the moment. Sony Liv or Hotstar are more consistent in nuances of the games.

Reminds me of DD back in early 00's, where as soon as the match gets over, they immediately start shoving advertisements on our face one after the other.

Only one aspect where Jio is better than they provide commentary options in multiple languages, though quality of commentators are a big question mark. I don't  want to hear Ravi Kishan or Nirahua doing commentary in Bhojpuri with clichés. Want to hear some real commentary and not cheerleading.

Big Boss is their biggest USP at this moment.

As soon as I launch the app, they shove Salman Khan doing his salutations with a pause.

i shall be delighted if Mukesh Kumar , unadkat and even yash dayal ( is a trundler) is not flown to Australia instead

Khaleel , Mayank, Prasidh( i have hope from him), Harshit rana get thr flight tickets to Australia- kuldeep sen , umraan have been unfit and thats why they are not in contention. i have hope that Khaleel may also get an opportunity in africa or australia.

Akashdeep who is 4k faster than Mukesh and has similiar line n length control is certain to be in our test 11 way ahead of Mukesh and Avesh KHAN. Avesh always had high ceiling as far as pace is considered but he messed up - too much of variations make these pacers as slow medium pacers.

even see MAYANK's slow Balls , you will notice most of his SLOW Balls have been played well and HIT HARD. Mayank should not try more than 2 slow balls in an over- his variations should be in line and length not pace , in t20's one slow ball is good even 2 if he has mastered it but more than 2 , he wont succeed and he will start getting hit.

I dont know..but whenever. noticed Haris Rauf slower balls against India..we couldnt pick them..atleast one thing he does right lol..unless I may have missed some other slow balls which got hit..

I also liked Dilhara Fernando split fingers slow ball..as batsman wont see it coming too..

BGT is to start little over a month, and Shami hasn't played even a game of cricket from last one year to prove his match fitness.
I don't see it happening frankly, Shami need to not only recover from the swelling, but also have to recover to an extend where he can actually bowl 20-22 overs in a day.

Team management had finalised Shami ,Prasidh to accompany Bumrah and Siraj for the Australia series.

It seems they didnt have plan B and we have only Bumrah as our main pacer.Siraj has mostly underperformed and Akash is very new to test cricket.

If there is injury concerns for Bumrah then we may field a very weak pace attack in Australia.

For the test series against Bangladesh and New Zealand ,the team management, Selectors should have been brave and selected some new pacers. If Harshit is selected as reserve ,then he should have made debut by now.

The Selectors wasted lots of times on Mukesh,Avesh ,who are now not in consideration and those who are in contention are inexperienced.

BCCI are banking on generational Sakaria, that's why they are hiding him

Exactly, Harshit and Mayank if are in contention for Australia should have been part of NZ series and not in reserves.
But frankly speaking I don't see it happening. NZ tour is much closer to the SA T20 series which starts on 8th Nov, while last test ends on 5th Nov.

Even during the warm up game in Australia which is between 15-17 Nov will clash with last T20 game in SA (which is on 15th).
So the team which will go to SA for T20s, may not be part of the Australia series. And my guess is Mayank and Harshit will go to SA for T20's instead.
