MK55 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 These ZIM batters r absolutely hopeless. They start relaxing when easy bowlers come. express bowling 1
express bowling Posted July 25 Author Posted July 25 Watching Prince, Yash and Dube, bowling in tandem, is giving me a 1980s India vibe. MK55, Mosher, Suhaan and 2 others 4 1

I am disappointed because he bowled real fast in first match.. unless he got injured..why he dropped his pace.. is he scared due to drop of Ashok.. So wanted focus on line and length instead of pace Edited July 25 by Need4Speed
Need4Speed Posted July 25 Posted July 25 (edited) From these 2 matches we got nothing: Abhishek still struggling with bouncy wkts Vaobhav can hit but still be trapped with short balls Mayank not bowling express pace Ashok slightly got for runs and was dropped.. Runs from Iyer..Kishan and Tilak wont matter for me against zim.. Prince yadav further cemented his place and will be chosen above Mayank and Ashok Edited July 25 by Need4Speed Vk1 and tweaker 2

Sgattick10 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Yash is a right armer? Thought he was a leftie express bowling 1
tapandrun Posted July 25 Posted July 25 (edited) Think Mayank when and if he settles in the intnl team will bowl high 130s and early 140s kmph and occasional 145-147 kmph ball here there. Do not think its a rhythm or lack of game time , every bowler has a default speed and he does not have a high default speed hence such variation year or year. He is similar to other Ind bowlers who will put alot of effort when they 1st make into the side once settled or are in fringe list they settle down to much lower default pace. He is not Aroon or Umesh who were quick even after return and stayed quick for a long time Edited July 25 by tapandrun

MK55 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 I feel like Mayank is injured / has some stiffness. Usuallly his speeds have been a good indication of his fitness in the past.

He doesn’t usually just slow down. He does his business sometimes has off days but commitment is there. express bowling and Mosher 2

He is not Aroon or Umesh who were quick even after return and stayed quick for a long time Mayank actually generates the speed based on his rhythm and release...it has to be 100% perfect for him to hit those speeds. Today, if you see his runup from the side, he isn't able to complete his action properly. At times it feels he is just rushing at the last moment to complete express bowling 1

express bowling Posted July 25 Author Posted July 25 9 minutes ago, tapandrun said: opp. is 5/6 wkts down they are not chasing it , still can not crank-up speeds .... those can not be instructions We have to focus on pacers who have the fitness to regularly play FC matches and sustain 140 k+ speeds. That's how we got Srinath, Ishant, Umesh, Shami, Bumrah, Siraj, Prasidh. Gurnoor and Ashok are 2 such newbies now. Mosher and tapandrun 2
