Shami/Bhuvi are highly skilled bowlers they will trouble domestic batters even it low pace, they know how to set-up a better. There time is done at intnl level, its okay if they want to continue and play in ipl or even domestics.

There are no cricketing reasons to bring back Shami now.

But half the " not sure selections " are due to fan pressure these days.

If we have Siraj and Shami both in the playing 11, we can say bye bye to our pace bowling future in the next few years.

No new pacer will develop to carry India's pace attack in the next 5 years.

The complete lack of planning is showing-up now that Ind kept loosing 3/4 top bowlers and they did not introduce anyone and added low potential bowlers.

Dravid and Rohit has set back our test match and ODI pace attack by 3 years atleast by playing Unadkat, Mukesh, Avesh etc.

Ind has no-one only options left is ask siraj and bhumrah to play and perform every game , Bhumrah can not play all the games its a know issue now. He has to be rested on away tours and siraj is on decline and Ind has no options.

This TM should play Bumrah, Gurnoor and Prasidh in tests in NZ.

If Gurnoor is still not introduced then GG will prove that he is no different to Dravid when it comes to quick pacers.

Avesh/mukesh/thakur/Undakat/saini who they were thinking can step-up to world class level ???

Pathetic foresight by last TM.

Also, it's not about just quantity, it's also about quality. Someone who bowls 150 overs in a domestic calendar in T20 cricket is not the same as a player who bowls 150 overs in domestic calendar in FC. FC teaches you to bowl longer spells, it teaches you to bowl with attacking mindset and get wickets,

Even after injuries Tyagi has not compromised on his speed.
He has worked on his actions, changed actions, but still is able to bowl 150 kmph.

This is the first time I think he has been fit through out IPL and UP league.

There are major injury concerns regarding our main fast bowlers.

you can't blame national selectors for not looking at him, even if they know he has potential, that is a call they have to take

Selectors had selected Mayank Yadav, Ashok Sharma on potential.

Karthik Tyagi had played more matches than Ashok and Mayank combined.

Selectors have been brave and selected Vaibhav,Querishi, Zeeshan for Duleep trophy, same yardstick could have been applied for Tyagi, Mayank,Umran, Apple Tom.

In this Duleep trophy most of the bowling is done by spinners, there is no pressure on fast bowlers.

Archer hits Saud on the shoulder then follows up with 148k. Then bowls another 148k and hits Masood on his midriff. Then bowls another 149k that bounces sharply and keeps rising till the keeper grabs it. Fantastic stuff.

England's leader of the pace attack bowling 148 k / 149 k.

While our leader of the pace attack, Siraj, struggled to bowl 128 k / 129 k.

Just 20 kph difference.  Not much.  :phehe:

True.

Question is why ?

Mentioned this before they have started believing in their own lies, Ind was not used to get high pace bowlers and who ever bowled at some pace was not efficient enough , even today with so much exposure and cricket Ind high pace bowler takes time to develop. And other  teams were getting high pace bowlers , every new bowler was a high pace bowler. So they had to say pace does not matter skill does. It was coping mechanism previously now its the core thingking

Now that has gone systemic, now they do not even listen to what they are saying, faster they bowl faster it goes is their default thinking.

In short...our commies have gone full "Nuclear ballistic" against our own fast bowlers..

Well they're not alone though, a major chunk of "fans" are dimwits as well. Zero idea of what works and what dont, just cheerleading for their favorite batter.

Mediocricy begets mediocricy. A generation of below mediocre players, can't see people more talented than them come through. It also is a hindrance to pick sifareeshi players. No matter what you do, you can't make Mukesh Kumar an express, genuine quickie. So, the best thing is, you pull down the express bowlers in the eyes of the audience.

In corporate we say, mules will never hire a horse..they will always hire a donkey so that they can be above them.
