Shami has lost pace. Barely Crossing 135.

Shami has lost 8 kph to 10 kph pace.

Understandable at real age 39, after 13 years in international cricket.

He used to prise out wickets on flat decks with pace and bounce. Now he just waits for batters' mistakes.

We need to invest in young 140 k+ quicks.

Siraj has also permanently lost pace

Razzaullha (pak)-- Bowled full and fast. Top speed 148 kmph. Slingy action helping bowl to tail away frm rh batter.

Does not have stock ball, but still caused issues to Eng batters with extra pace.

Pakistan believes in strategy of picking fast bowlers early, and extract as much as they can.

BCCI and majority Indian fans despise fast bowling, they see it as wild and a competition to their favorite stat padder batsman's domiance and fan following. Hence they want tried and tested failures who can remain forever in shadows of the batters.

Likes of Mayank, Tyagi, Ashok would have been playing for any international team as frontline bowlers...but in India, we pick likes of Kambojh over them.

This part is changing though.

Saw a lot of excitement on the net when Mayank, Gurnoor, Ashok, Umran, Tyagi clocked high speeds and took wickets.

Real problem lies with the State Selectors who won't give chances to quick pacers in Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy.

If a 145 k pacer performs in Ranji Trophy, he will get picked for India A and India. But they don't get to play enough red ball games for their states and lag behind in match fitness and red ball skills.

Things need to change at the state level.

Exactly... Pakistan doesn't have many 145+ Pacers in pipeline.. but they make sure if they find one they give him an opportunity straightaway

This Razaullah has pace but like most slingy Pacers he doesn't generate extra bounce like Archer or Tongue coz they are both tall and have high arm action.  Hence More buffer as a fast bowler

Was watching highlights. What a terrific  find Josh Tongue is. Consistently at 90 mph  and gets 4 wickets. Pak top and middle order players were handling him like a tailender with multiple clean bowled.

Tongue was ordinary to start with but got backed by ECB for his extra pace.

Has already played 15 tests.

Development of express pacer came while he played actual test matches regularly.

While we do not even give test debut to any 145 k pacer.

Mayank Yadav and Kartik Tyagi got ignored for ....

India A White ball squad

India A Red ball squad

Duleep Trophy squad

Mayank does not get picked for India T20I squad either despite being spectacular in Zimbabwe.

Amazing how the Indian ex-cricketers hate express pacers !

That I why all of them should either retire from all formats or look for opportunities playing for SENA countries, infact every u19,u23 pace prospect should start early in applying for SENA

motherchords here don't deserve these, they deserve looser trundlers

No one who will be a threat to Prasidh gauti ka pyaar Krishna will be picked

Let's say you are the Indian Team Coach ....

You need 3 pacers for a SENA test that is a must win for you.

You have only 2 existing pacers available for selection  .... say Gurnoor and 127 kph Siraj.

[  Bumrah can play only 3 tests and is resting in this  test ]

Let's say Prasidh has fever and can't play this test.  Akashdeep is not fit yet and is not in the squad.

Your options are the pacers selected for India A Red ball squad.

Kamboj

Deshpande

Hinge

Vyshak

How comfortable will you be choosing any of them  ?  After all, that is the purpose of choosing any A-team squad.

@Mosher, @Suhaan, @singhvivek141, @Lone Wolf, @tapandrun@tweaker, @Rightarmfast, @MK55, @rollingstoned, @Need4Speed @bouncers, @Malcolm Merlyn, @Manucrick, @vishalvirsingh

State Selectors are anyways corrupt. They option choose the kids from their own academies over others. I saw a video on Instagram where someone mentioned the name of a player in DPL, opening but with zero batting technique.

Its not said often due to fear of exclusion, but some players like Hanuma Vihari have called it out.

Agree, that the fans are changing, but the change is slow coz their ecosystem (like sports channels, commentary, youtube channels, local academies) prioritize batters first.

Delhi is very corrupt. Selection happens via phone calls.

that dpl batsman issue is being investigated.

The squad has been selected in such a way that Kamboj is going to be obvious replacement.

Kamboj is selected for A team,In Duleep trophy.

Someone influential want Kamboj at any cost

Injured players are selected for blocking a spot in the squad.

I really think if Kamboj had a good Duleep trophy, and performance against Sri Lanka A,he would be all formats bowler ie Mukesh Kumar
