Stuge Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Chennai: Shivlal Yadav, interim president of the BCCI, hailed N Srinivasan for his elevation to ICC as its first chairman and hoped that the Tamil Nadu strongman would again take over BCCI`s reigns from him. Talking at a felicitation function organised by organised by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, Shivlal said, "I pray to God that all the bad period that we are only reading about in the media will be over as soon as possible and you will take over from me." "Today, the cricketing fraternity is grateful to Mr Srinivasan as no former Presidents of the BCCI had the guts or willingness to look after them to pay one-time benefit, which Srinivasan has done not only to test cricketers but to Ranji trophy cricketers also," the former off-spinner was in a mood to lavish praise on the newly appointed ICC chairman. "Many Presidents have come and gone after serving their term, today because of Mr Srinivasan`s benevolence that many cricketers, who have suffered in their lifetime particularly the Ranji Trophy cricketers have struggled in getting pittance of money. Today, they are leading good life because of Srinivasan`s guidance and benevolence," said the interim president. Maybe in sporting circles Naah if his power was limited to just sporting circles that then the likes of Pawar and Rajiv Shukla would have him thrown out by now. Imagine the politicians are against him, media runs a non stop 13-14 days tirade against him, he has a case in the SC, is under investigation by SC in SIT and yet he goes onto become the ICC chairman! Most likely he has got files on each politician to keep them at bay.

How did he broker peace, probably BJP decided to let him stay for now since Congressi people wanted to boot him so badly..that back fired. Does not make sense at all otherwise. Or BJP guys now have bigger things to worry about probably in a couple of years they will come around to BCCI. Anyway very dangerous fellow, any one who messes with Pawar & co and still holds on should be.
