If jadeja available, ashwin could come in but id rather play 4 seamers. They might go with pace and we have a 90mph bowler on the bench. USE HIM!

In fact they bowled pretty well in the second inning until the Jadeja blitz. Had they bowled the same line and length in the first innings India (or any side for that matter) would have rolled over under 200 on that pitch. So they are capable of bowling well in English conditions lol. Let's hope they think that,I want another green track.

Also weather was very hot this time. Having said that there is no excuse for their failure at the Lords. They got everything wanted. They had 1 seamer more than India. They won the toss. They have more knowledge about local conditions.

Personally, I feel that the English (media in particular) are over reacting to the defeat. Moen Ali, Ballance, Robson, Anderson, Broad, Root have contributed in this series - the young order is just fine.

Moen Ali, Ballance, Robson, Anderson, Broad, Root have contributed in this series - the young order is just fine.[/quote'] they matched india because they got better conditions in first innings while bowling ..while track was much flatter when we bowled and then they get advantage of majority of umpiring errors which no one here blew out of proportion but they did get advantage with rahane do you think match would have gone to 4th day if we won toss and bowled first ? everyone said 220 was par score in first inning and 300 in 2nd that is one huge advantage
Old guy Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 also i know you do not want to call ali's decision wrong yesterday because drs would have stuck with umpire but trust me every crickter for example boycott said ali was out thrice yesterday and if he was out and prior in early morning i do not think match would have even gotten to lunch and about my winning in 4th day remark kapil dev was the first one to say it ..

It's not if the entire team is abysmal out there. oh they are...as i wrote in other thread their media should never be taken seriously about youngsters they are pretty good but that is expected in home conditions but ali is shocking against short pitch i am surprised they are so bad against short stuff as even indian taileners like bhuvi now a days have much better technique dealing with them.. how is quality of county cricket compared to ranji ? i know that australian omestic sides and south african are much stronger but would be interesting to compare ranji teams with counties :hmmm:
