Except that is not the case. If the PM of India is on a state visit to a foreign nation and deciedes to visit a site- religious/cultural/whatever in his/her personal capacity, that is NOT supporting the religious/cultural site of the foreign country on our tax money.

So Modi's gesture of offering 2,500 kg of the precious wood, comes to around Rs 4 crore (Rs 40 million). At Rs 390 a kg, the value of ghee offered to the temple works out to Rs 936,000. The cost of sandalwood and ghee thus works out to around Rs 4.09 crores (Rs 40.9 million)

Manmohan Singh had given Bangladesh a $1 Billion credit line. Manmohan Singh had also given $5 million to pakistan, $20 million to Palestine and $200K to a Buddhist shrine in Myanmar.
