Unless he does something drastic, this will be his last Test. Unless he cuts down his 4 balls, he won't have an international career for long (even if he does well this test). That's the reality.

pankaj, although he is a domestic vet, needs some fine tuning. Get a guy like kapil dev or a srinath, anyone reputable to fix his game. Why chuck him away when he's under 30, can bowl at some decent pace, has bounce, moves it both ways. Get him a personal coach, i'll even tweet this suggestion to him! Want him to do well, can be useful in our pool of bowlers. He has something but needs that extra mile. If nehra can go from 130 odd to 150k and be threatening, im sure pankaj can do something. Just needs the guidance - this is not covering up for his lack of wickets. But why throw him in the bin?

Just Saw the Complete Tehelka Tapes Yesterday so for a moment I misunderstood :giggle: ANyways Srinath is not interested in coaching and Kapil was never known to be a great Coach.....Zak would be the best option

Should catch a flight back to play Ranji. Like Harsha said, in Indian FC, batsmen usually don't cash in against his quota bad delivery every over. Whereas these guys punish him for anything wide and he seems to love gifting them that every now and then.

Talent and potential can get 2-3 extra matches,not 50.No one deserves a rope as long as Ishant got without performing.Hopefully he has turned the corner now and Lords wasnt a one off

He could be straying in line and length because he could be nervous as he knows if he doesnt get wickets, its the end of the road for him. He had to play domestic cricket for many, many years and got rejected and got his call up now. Got an easy catch dropped, plumb lbw turned down in the last match. Now things are not looking good in this game. Gotta feel for him.

Like Warnie said, 1 wicket could turn things his way and he would end up bagging 3-4 going with that confidence. He seems desperate. Persisting with him if he performs like this would be unfair on Pandey who looked like our best bowler in the warm ups.

Pankaj Singh does have some good qualities. He has decent pace, has height to get extra bounce and has experience in FC and picked 300 wickets. What's lacking from him so far in the 2 tests is the consistency in hitting the right areas which could be a result of trying too hard to get wickets. If he gets a wicket, he could become more confident and get a few more.

Dude cmo'n easy with the hate.....Clearly all youngsters apart from Rahane have not grabbed the oppurtunities with both hands. This is a core group identified as the future of Indian batting i.e-Chepu,Kohli,Rohit,Rahane,Dhawan,Vijay etc. too early to dump any one of them based on this series.

It is like how Badrinath was dropped. I have no regretss despite not having enough chances. He has so much limitations. Not everyone has to get certain number of chances before getting discarded. Rohit certainly doesn't belong to the category that deserves a long rope.
