They are mentally stronger. That is why they are billed as favorites. Having said that in a crucial match if a spinner can trigger a collapse this line up will be vulnerable. It is a flamebuoyant side. But not a reliable side. Can collapse from time to time unlike the 2000s

We need to work on some aspects : Some of our batsmen need to learn to play the pull and hook shots well and keep them down on the ground. Need to go with 3 seamers + 1 seamer AR + 1 spinner. Seamers have to work on bowling short balls, yorkers and bowling at the death. Pace is an important factor. We need spinners who can bowl well on flat surfaces. Captain should attack and look for wickets in the middle overs, instead of bringing in spinners and let the game drift like he did in NZ, SA. In SC, our spinners will do some damage by keeping runs down and taking wickets. In those conditions, they won't be as effective and it will be tougher for our batsmen to make up for it as there will be a bit more for seamers. These are the lessons I learned from SA, NZ ODIs. Hope Indian team also learned from them too.

I think people are writing us off a bit too much. The format of the tournament suits India. I think we should make the semis at the very least.

We need to be able to restrict the opposition by taking regular wickets becoz our batting isn't going to be able to bail us out this time. On another note think is our first odi wc without sachin in a long time. Sachin always used to bring his A game to the wc & was consistently the highest scorer for us. Someone. really needs to do that role otherwise we are screwed.

We will be in the country for close to 3 months by the time the WC starts.
