By my own estimates probably 8 of the playing 11 at OT and Ages bowl would be the best india have. Yes the captaincy is an issue but the margin of victories for England have shown that its something much more fundamental. I will completely contradict you if you think the likes of Kohli and Pujara are not class players. They did great when seniors were around to guide them and groom them. They might still need some hand holding but will come good. For some odd reason, you are very keen to prove that our current players are thrash when all of them seem very skilled to me. They have not had good guidance at a test level We might not have won the last 2 matches, but with a better leader margin would have reduced

Yes the captaincy is an issue but the margin of victories for England have shown that its something much more fundamental. buddy attitude is the ultimate thing. even if you have the best 11 players from world, you can't win if the leader is complacent and thinks he is not accountable whatever may happen. his comments after loses are clear indications of that. its not like saying something just for the sake of it. one can feel the arrogance in his replies. its viral as well. quickly spreads to all members of team if not fixed. this is not something that just happens in sports. in corporate managements, its a common happening due to stalemate. employees get into stalemate after 4-5 years of similar work. 7 years at captaincy is too long a period for him to loss interest in everything. but the monetary returns from endorsements may be forcing him to continue as captain. Selectors forcing him out could be the only solution.

You cant win major series with such a weakness at the heart of your batting. Exactly. Mooli and Rahane can't score tons in all games. Pujara literally played the opener's role playing the new ball with Dhawan/Gambir failing every match.

What really hurts is they constantly surrender winning positions, or when they need to fight out a little bit they just fold. There is no fight shown from any of the players, and I feel that is mainly down to leadership. Dhoni is not an inspiring leader on the field

With the Aussies, Clarke and Johnson made the difference. After sweeping England, they never got bogged down and went on to hammer South Africa. In India, Dhoni and co., especially the likes of Kohli and Ashwin gets super complacent after winning a game. The players barely look motivated when playing away from home. India made the difference for Cook and England, since both are shyte!

Dhoni is the only player left from that debacle in the last 3 years. Too early to grind and rupture our jaws 'cause of the new lot. Ishant has come out good, Dhoni remains the same.

We thought SA would give the Aussies a reality check. Point is they kept the intensity going from the Ashwin triumph.

We saw how they struggled in India

I get your point, its similar to India player in Sri Lanka but the odds were yet stacked against Australia. Lets see how they fair in UAE. They won the ODI series there last time.
