Will bcci stop preparing flat tracks...only spin Friend ly tracks which get even a raina look genuine spinner. Problem is batting and slip catching....bowling is a bit of issue not much. No batsmen can play their bowlers on these tracks. Provide genuine fast pitch practice to our batsmen else loose all tests against Australia. Home tigers and outside- sissy. Board and selectors...Please help.

As for international cricket at home, it makes no sense to not use home advantage and instead offer fast pitches for the opposition to make full use of.

Outfields are labelled as pitches A number of green pitches were prepared for the Ranji Trophy last season that offered good help for the fast bowlers. It's something that's being implemented slowly in Indian domestic cricket now.

FreakazoiD Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Even if we create bowling friendly pitches, we lack the bowling quality these guys come up against when playing in England, Australia or SAF. In India, even Vinay Kumar and Pankaj Singh look deadly on helpful tracks. Until we produce good quality bowlers of international quality, pitches will not really matter. It may help organising more India A tours or sending our guys to play county cricket.

We need a combination of both.

They are hard working and supremely talented. They are 2 levels better than other indian batsmen. Indian batting and slip catching has collapsed. For batting collapse...its the system and coach to be blamed not the players.

special K Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 How about play to your strengths and start getting batsmen who can play spin and produce some more world class spinners and have home wickets that are dustbowls and turners? Trying to copy other countries is not going to work.
