truth be told I really dont care what happens in these bilateral series. In the LOI what matters are major tournaments. I am guessing SA fans would trade their win loss ratio for a WC.

so? In any case, India are comfortably places in both metrics. I think we have a decent win loss ratio in the T20s as well.

i do care tbh,especially odi series in aus,saf,eng where we have poor record.at home we are too good. its surprising to see saf playing just 88 odis,aus are always good in odis,england as usual poor

Actually not too shabby, post WC 2011 to now, India's W/L in away matches actually improves compared to last 5 years. Though if it weren't for champions trophy success in England, India's record in SA,Eng, NZ, and Eng is very very poor.

How is it lowest rated? It was rarely played hence it hardly had any buzz. If Champion's Trophy was played more frequently, we would see a lot more teams preparing for it seriously starting several months before.

In fact, the ODIs now should be used a testing ground to find the right combo for the WC. We ned 3 spinners (who can bat) to be ready for the WC. We can pick 1-2 in the playing XI depending upon the conditions. We need 5 pacers (proper serious ones) to be ready for the WC. We can pick 3-4 in the playing XI depending upon the conditions. We need to sort out our openers, plan for a backup opener, have 2 batsmen ready for the No 4 slot. But I see no freaking planning. We will continue to play the same XI, win a few matches now and get owned in Australia.

The squad for WC has to be picked 1 day after the tri series in Australia starts. So we basically have just 3 ODI's in England to judge our squad .Home series vs WI wont tell us squat. But Dhoni doesnt give a hoot.He's probably preparing for CLT20

A bit harsh, no? After all, he is the defending WC-winning captain who played the defining knock to win it for his team the last time around. Do you really think he doesn't care?
