Extremely sad that she had to resort to cheap item numbers and then to prostitution to earn a livelihood
gattaca Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 What law did she break? Isn't prostitution illegal in india ?
coffee_rules Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Blame the parents for her plight. If she had gotten good education, she would have gotten into a respectable career.
vvvslaxman Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Several such cases have occurred before. But mostly after they lose their market. A

velu Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 its bad that she was caught .. modi shld make prostitution legal ( both male and female )
coffee_rules Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 modeling/acting is not considered a bad choice in most places.. indians consider even cheer leading is bad Yes, but she was a child artist and that affected her education. If She had gone to school regularly, the chances of this happening was lesser. It could have still happened, but not because of her not getting a chance at decent education.

Crookbond Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Isn't prostitution illegal in india ? No.
sachin34357 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 she probably wasnt exactly a GB Road prostitute. she probably slept with rich businessmen in top hotels and made handsome money every night. dont a lot of C-Grade actresses do escorting on side?
Precambrian Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Now I am no big beacon of righteousness and I've had my fair share of faps on actresses. But probably for the first time, I felt really really sad, especially when I learnt she's a national award winner and it just thunderbolted on me when I learnt she's the kid in Makdee, which is a movie I really liked. So sad. Classic case of turdy parentage.

kubrickian Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Why is that in India pre marital sex is considered wrong and yet even prostitution is illegal ? What about men and women who want to have sex but don't want to get married ? Do they expect them to remain virgins till 40 years or older if they don't get married ? How archaic and regressive are these rules ? Not having sex for some people will lead to all kinds of psychological issues, deviant behavior, frustration, depression and sexual repression could lead to rapes and hate crimes. Have to say, India is no different from Islamic countries when it comes to these things. Anyone who thinks otherwise is simply being delusional.
moniker Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Prostitution is not illegal in India. Being a pimp, running a brothel etc is. Maybe she was arrested for having some kind of a say in the running of the sex racket.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 1 Lac per night was what her agent Bala used to quote to clients.Means her clients were not "AAM JANTA"". About time they are also arrested.
vvvslaxman Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I saw her in a Tamil movie as heroine opposite Karunaas (hero) . Chanaamama. real crappy movie though. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMxPrI1xsjs]Chandamama Theatrical Trailer | Latest Tamil Movie | Karunas - YouTube[/ame]
CSK Fan Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 Blame the parents for her plight. If she had gotten good education' date=' she would have gotten into a respectable career.[/quote'] That is a very insensitive comment to make considering everything. There are lots of people who would like to chase their dreams no matter what. This has nothing to do with education at all Would you also blame parents of people like Sachin because he did not complete schooling? If you want to blame someone, blame the movie industry for not looking after a good actor and of course, as usual, no blame to the guys who force people like her into this. You have to think about the Bollywood industry too here. I think her main drawback was her looks as her acting from what I saw was top notch. So she couldn't be the traditional heroine. In some way Bollywood has moved from conventional roles for heroes, even people like Irfan or Nawazuddin are getting great roles. However, actress still need to have a certain look and are limited to roles like item numbers
