Trundler27 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Samson, Naman Ojha, Saha all back-up WK options had no chance on this tour because they have the term wicket-keeper attached to them in some form. With Samson, at least time is not an issue due to his age. On current form, Naman Ojha should have played for the national side but no one even mentioned his name even though he was called up to UK as a stand-by player. I don't think we are going to see any new players tried specifically with the WC in mind, unless there is an injury to one of the regulars. This is just how Dhobi rolls.

He will get (a) proper chance(s) against WI, and will have the opportunity to put his name up for WC squad.
tweaker Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 In the England odi series Kedhar Jadhav,Samsan,Bhumra,Karn,Monaj Tiwary should have been selected.Of this all 5 would have clicked.Dhoni is not willing to give chances outside his corridor .I think he has selected the team for the WC in his mind & he is not going to give chance to another players
