CSK Fan Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 The way he is bowling' date=' he will be rubbish everywhere.[/quote'] What do you think the problem is?
undisputed chap Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 When he gets smacked around in tests the same people will come out saying it was a flat patta, dhoni doesnt know handle him, he was unlucky, batsmen were too good, it was his first match, needs confidence, etc etc.
Lord Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Good option for Tests.but I hope he has played his last ODI in a while
rkt.india Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 What do you think the problem is? Length. He is not hitting the length that he should. He has been taken for runs on short and over pitch bowling. He barely did it even in the ODI he played. The kind of length likes of BK, Steyn, Broad, Anderson hit. He needs to hit that. It will work even in ODI or a T20 and better in test cricket. He is too up and down. Trying to complete his action too quickly and losing shape of the body in that process.

Or should BCCI not bother with him and go for other bowlers? Since his pace is a big asset I think we should go with the former, but unfortunately Dhoni doesn't agree
King Tendulkar Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 4 overs and written off Jeez T20 is making a mockery of cricket
King Tendulkar Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 But then Pujara was getting destroyed after one innings in county cricket This is new age fans!

I have not seen much improvement in him in last one year since his come back. He did have his days in between, got fifer in CT warmup against Aus, bowled well in patches in CT, two MOMs In IPL, a fifer on A tour to Aus but not maintaining any kind of continuity. It all looks a lottery with him. To get the rhythm back, you need to be predictable in your line and length in an attempt to hit the right place while every delivery from him is different. Why can't he understand a simple thing, try to hit top of off stump ball after ball. Either, he has become complacent or does not know what to do.
CommonMan Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 He is rubbish every where. :beee: I am not judging just by his T20 or LOIs.
undisputed chap Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 4 overs and written off Jeez T20 is making a mockery of cricket Name one odi where umesh has won has a game. I can name bk, shami, ishant, mohit doing it but umesh not one.
vvvslaxman Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Yea jadeja was wreaking havoc there lol chawla totally out bowled two national bowlers. Unless pitch is offering square turn or opposition sucks balls against spin tony is a junk captain in managing bowlers. In tests England is patient so tony could not get away.

King Tendulkar Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Jeez so much been read in to the fun slap bang cricket!!! No wonder we suck at tests as seems basis for selection and tacitcs is based on this tamasha cricket. Sad days for indian cricket

JaFanatic Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 He is rubbish every where. :beee: I am not judging just by his T20 or LOIs. He has the best strike rate ever for an Indian bowler in test cricket :fail:
CommonMan Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 another chuski fan this is getting tiresome now judging comments based on ipl team which i supported :cantstop:
CommonMan Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 He has the best strike rate ever for an Indian bowler in test cricket :fail: concedes 4+/over in tests :fail:
JaFanatic Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 concedes 4+/over in tests :fail: Why does it matter ? you want bowlers who will bowl at an er of 3 or 3.5 and fails to finish off the innings over someone who produces wk very often ? typical dhoni mindset bro. I mean seriously you guys want containing bowlers in TEST cricket ?
