We wont even know of could have been goo odi bowler. Only after a god run of games and used in CORRECT way could we have known if could have been the man That's all and other want. This fast bowler to be given a good run and used in PROPER way. Only then would we have known. Same for aaaron And FFS why not tests!! There is no doubt Jaddu was one of Dhoni's favorite and always backed to the hilt. Maybe having a common language helped. And he is one of those who will punch much above weight when backed. But in general, his skills are very average. If only someone like Yadav could be backed similarly too

He was pretty poor with the ball in his first 30 ODIs and had only a couple of 50s with the bat. And he speaks hindi very fluenlty

I know you are a Jadeja fan but here is the deal......Let's even keep aside Jadeja's mediocrity aside for a while since we are talking about Dhoni-Jadeja combo here. On Many Instances I have seen Jadeja being taken off and protected when he is having an off day,Being bowled at convenient times like just when a wicket falls,etc. There were instances during IPL at times when Jadeja was not even used to bowl any overs and bat.Even in ODI's at times when things where not going well for any bowler,Jadeja is well protected. Jadeja's careless slogging in tests has been documented but still we are made to believe that he tried his best by MSD even though Jadeja is in the team as an all-rounder and bats at a crucial enough No.7-No8 Position. Jadeja is just a mediocre cricketer but still gets a free ride....and yeah there might be other players who have had a long run with mediocre careers but they are in the team as a specialist batsman or bowler....Jadeja is neither. Him playing tests is ridiculous and his record in T20's is ridiculous....deserves a run in ODI's though where he is decent but as I said even there he is being protected and it is clear there is a friendship there.

He wasnt as poor as Umesh though,atleast was economical.and was always asset in field. I think everyone including speaks Hindi fluently except for Southie cricketers maybe,

If you genuinely hate someone,you'll look for these minor things and find it anyway Despite being a spinner,Jaddu has bowled in batting PP and death overs regularly.Even in CT final he bowled in last 3 overs under great pressure.Some protection that:hatsoff: Cite those instances where he is protected atleast instead of 'I think' 'I have seen'etc. Jaddu is doing better than Ashwin as a bowler in Tests.Your saying hes mediocre would make Ashwin awful right?As for his batting,I agree he should be batting at 8 at not 7. Yeah being our higher ranked bowler and highest wicket taker in CT is just decent.We have so many champion bowlers anyway. Shouldnt play T20s agree.Even Dhoni shouldnt too.most of the time our ODI team plays t20s.I agree we need specialists
