Mohit Sharma and Ambathi Rayudu would be the biggest mistake we gonna make going for 2015 wc.

Even rahane and pujara failed in that series
Rahane at least played one good knock. And Pujara is a misfit for LOIs. Need a better hitter at 4. Both Rahane and Rayudu can't be trusted at that position. Yuvraj was perfect but sigh!

Rayudu can hit big especially against the spinners as shown in England.....He usually comes in at a time when spinners are bowling anyways due to his position. I still think there is something here.....he has not been as bad as people are making him out to be...made some good runs in tough situations 2 games in England and the game against Pak for eg;

Technique is not the only criteria to be successful in odi Dhoni is a prime example of that! What I meant was Rahane and Pujara despite having solid techniques failed to impress in that series. As Maniac and Kubrikian said we have enough hitters in our line up and he is someone who can solidify our batting but yes that doesn mean you should ignore the better option i.e Jadhav

NoHIT Sharma is rated even higher, that doesn't make you a better player, Rayudu is 28 years old for crying out loud, it is not like he is young and has a hidden talent which would come out when he matures. We have seen the best of Hackadu and he is simply not good enough
Disagree with your reasoning ( i am no Rayudu fan either but i am willing to give him a run). Even back in the days, batsmen didn't come into their peak till 23-24. Nowadays, 27-28 to 33-35 are the peak years of a batsman and if anything, we are seeing/going to see the best Rayudu has to offer, he is just about entering his peak/will be in his peak shortly (due to lack of established run in the international scene, he may require another year or so to get into his best phase of career). I am no fan of throwing kids into the top level, just so we can find the next super-star. Cricket has moved on and we need to take a more matured developmental attitude, where the average cricketer comming into team india is in the 24-28 range, offers us 6-10 years of top quality service before retiring. and if there are the tendulkars and akrams of the world- the boy wonders, they need to be the exception and will ake the team in their teens if they are good enough. but we need to stop our obsession and broken mentality of throwing 19-22 year olds and expecting them to be really really good.

Rayudu sucks against pace.

Did well in the england series and decently in australia with the a team and he was one of our best batsmen in the last year's A tour to new zealand in the low scoring games.

Not sure why Mohit is preferred over Pandey. Pandey can do everything Mohit can except is taller and can actually swing the ball. IMO at best Rayudu, Rahane and rohit can all average Mid 30 with a strike rate in the mid 70s. They should try testing out potential match winners before the world cup and if they fail they can always go back to Rohit rayudu because they seem like the kind of players that don't really need match practice.

I rate Rayudu as a batsman.......good compact technique.....with no glaring weakness.......he is not a brute like Dhoni......he's more of a consolidator.......drop Rohit......play Rahane as an opener .....and play Rayudu at 4 or 5 depending on the situation.....just don't make him bowl...... Mohit is mediocre......will get tonked in Australia.......

Rayudu in squad is must cause he is your backup keeper
Have you seen him keeping :rofl: he is not a specialist keeper first of all and probably the worst part time keeper in India and you want him to be the back up keeper in a country where even specialist sc keepers struggled to keep up with the uneven bounce ??

We will not win anyway due to law of averages. More excited for the IPL 2015 than this WC.
India has a great chance, the only team that I can see India losing to is Australia and they will have to face home team pressure. Just look at India's performance in ICC events But get rid of Rayudu first cause he might be the difference in India's win and loss

Whats up with Rayudu hate? What exactly did he do wrong? :hmmm: I know he is not a great batsman but to single him out for defeats is stupidity. He was one our prolific scorer in Eng series.
