I don't know if this incident qualifies as risk taking But i did take a risk. i got into an auto at 2 am in the morning in pune at a railway station. I had just got back from hyderabad and train had been delayed by many hours hence the reason for my being at the station at 2 in the morning and i had my last semester theory exam(engg) the next day at 10. So i came out and there was a line up of autos i asked the first one and he agreed there were some whistles by other auto drivers and as i was getting into the auto one guy even said in marathi to the first driver if he will be coming back or so( i hope u guys get the meaning) i wanted to get out but my exam worry was way too much. So the next 30 mins was the most tension filled moments of my life . it was dark outside and the roads seemed unfamiliar and i berated myself for getting into the auto. All said and done he got me home( i shared a flat with 2 other girls). I remember this incident many times cause in recent times there have been so many rapes etc i know i was very careless . if the driver hadn't been a good guy. :fear:

Hmm aren't the autos and taxis registered -- when they leave Railway Stations and Airports ? I mean there is a person/police wala who takes down the Auto License Plates and registers where the Auto is heading to ? That would be bizzare if Pune does not have it. I know some cities have had it for more than 20 years.

I don't know about these things and no there was no policewala to take license plate information..

Lost wallet while travelling in Singapore. It had all the cash and cards. Thankfully hotel bill was already paid and an Indian friend from Delhi who was on travel there helped me. Got new cards in 3-4 days. Wallet with all the cash was found just next day and returned to me. Happy ending with a lesson.
