The latter two are pure match winners (better match winners than Sachin) and when all is said and done it will be the following order in ODI's: 1. Kohli 2. Dhoni 3. Sachin Sachin was in similar form at same age. I guess SRT scored 20 centuries in 150-160 matches at SR of 92-93 while playing ODIs in 90s.

No ODI is meaningless. You still have to score and win them. World cups are otherwise meaningless too. He did contribute in CT final which is far better than WC with no easy matches.

I guess both have similar records during that phase 21-26. At that SRT was best in tests also. From 94-99, he was like freak in both formats. Imagine Kohli scoring at an avg of 60 in tests also that while playing against best bowling era for ODIs and great bowling attacks in tests. That will give you SRT.

From age 21 to 26 Matches: 164 Runs: 6892 Avg: 47.20 SR: 90.49 100s: 24 Tests during same time Matches: 45 Runs: 4116 Avg: 61.43 100s: 16 Both have similar records in ODIs and SRT was like Kohli in god mode in both formats. Imagine what would we think of Kohli if he had performances in tests.

That will give you SRT.[/quote'] That is not the right comparison because SRT was already established in international cricket by 21 and played 4 years of international cricket, while Kohli took time to settle down after that at least 2 years, Tendulkar did same too. It is only after 2011 WC that he started scoring 100s that heavily. SRT started scoring 100 once he started opening in ODIs. Kohli debuted in tests in 2011 , now its 3 years. What is the SRT's record in his firt 3 years of test cricket? Take it that way, not by age which is misleading. Same Kohli debuted in ODIs in 2008, now 6 years since, so now find what was SRT's record in his first 6 years of ODI career. That will give you a better idea.
