Is sub fielder allowed, if Clarke came into match with injury?

This is not a new injury in the match. Is sub fielder allowed when Aus bowl, if Clarke came into match with injury? If rules dont allow it, then Kohli needs to enforce it as per the lawbook rules. Clarke knew the injury when he came into the 11. Aus Team management need to cop the decision, they took the risk and they got the bonus of a fluent 60 by Clarke. But they should play by the rule book. Kohli - Pls. dont do a "MSD or Tendulkar" and act over helpful. Enforce the rules.

Oh c'mon.He obviously was match fit.Old injuries can reappear.If God forbid...Aaron 's injury reappears and he can't take the field...would you still want the rule enforced.The fact that he probably won't bat is enough. We don't need to be petty for being aggressive.

Grey area... Will be pretty cheap of us if we do this... There are many players from India who have/had some injury issues earlier....anyone can say they came to the match carrying that injury... I will be disappointed if we do this...this is not the India I know....aggression is fine but not cheapness....I would like to believe Clarke took field with full belief that he can carry through...bad luck...can happen to anyone...lets not tempt fate...

This is one of those regulations which is pretty much impossible to enforce. Especially after Clarke played fluently for 60 runs almost unaffected by injury.

Clarke was NOT 90-100% fit coming in. We rested MSD and Bhuvi as precaution. If team australia take a risk, they get the pros and cons of the risk. They got the pro 60 runs, con is they field 10. Remove his 60 runs from total and we can allow sub fielder?

Fortunately for whatever shortcomings it does have Indian cricket never stooped to such lows and will not be petty. A sub fielder will be allowed. The only people who might employ such tactics are the chappell brothers!!

Well he clearly was not match fit. The Hughes death story totally covered up what was a bitter spat between the selectors who wanted clarke to prove his fitness and Clarke who claimed to be fit but did not want to play major cricket. Its over for clarke, australia will be really stupid to risk playing him. I thought Clarke handled himself extremely well in the whole Hughes issue. India IMO should not enforce anything. Australia are probably short of a batter in the second innings.

Clarke was struggling for match fitness due to hamstring injury.Now he is struggling due to back spasms .So he was match fit when he started at least. Also the opposing caption don't have any power in disallowing sub fielders.Its umpire discretion. So moot point for Kohli.If he protests will only come out as cheap attempt

Apart from the bad back, Clarke also has a longstanding issue of regularly tweaking his hamstring. So I expect him to be ruled out at some point in the series regardless.
