Can't stand him. Wasim is a far more likable person than that scum.
There is reason for the same .Wasim has more monetary interests in India then him .

Imran is a complete bigoted idiot. Here are a few examples. Bhuvi Kumar took a wicket with his first ball.....hes asked about it in an interview and rather than praise him he changes the topic to how Pakistan has great bowlers right now. Then he starts talking about how strong Pathans are and how untapped a resource they are in cricket. Strong mountain people. I wonder if he subscribes to this ludicrous martial race theory he'll at least be consistent with stereotypes that Pathans are all boy rapists and known to be stupid? I mean be consistent at least.

Pakistan's greatest cricketer , biggest humanitarian , supremely confident proud pathan , best looking cricketer ever , an absolute patriot , what's not to like , lol @ the personal attacks and bringing in his past , and to the bigots he fully supports Tyrian , why even bring uo the issue when you don't even know the details ??. I don't know why people get offended when someone says that Pakistanis are generally better looking or have fairer complexions than Indians or are superior bowlers , because i don't see how that is a lie .I guess Indian friends don't like him because he is very un indian as a person , he isn't meek , nerdy . He is the quintessential Pakistani , maybe that's where the hate comes from . Sanjay Manjrekar on interview said that he would like to be born again as Imran khan ,most world cricketers who have played with or against him are in awe of the great man . Also his views on Indian cricket should not offend you , lets be honest the Indian team he played against was pretty poor infact India have historically been a fairly ordinary side , he respects gavaskar who was a good cricketer at the time so if anything he is honest in his views , why be politically correct ??

Nowadays, indians may well be better on average (In attitude, skills etc). Pakistanis are self-bigging people. Less substance more gloating abt nothing. And abt imran - you either do not know abt him enough or are not mature enough to form a near accurate opinion on him, covering all aspects.

I can agree to the fairer skinned part only. I don't consider them better looking and as far as superior bowling is considered those days of wasim-waqar are over. As far as meek and nerdy is considered i have met plently of pakistanis in US who are like that mostly educated. I guess being educated does that ! He is a great cricketer and fantastic captain no doubt and i respect him as someone who promised to build a hospital and delivered on that promise. But as a politician he is not that great. he comes off as someone stupid or naive and most of all he is a hypocrite. He had all his fun and now he preaches!!

Wait is Imran Khan the first celebrity to do charitable work? I am confused. The fact is this guy was living in the colonial times during his playing days and just when you think things couldn't get any worse,he has regressed to the medieval days. As I said as a cricketer he has earned it,one of the greatest absolutely no doubt... obviously he has furthered his own political ambitions creating this aura about himself....again not the first guy to do it so fair enough but again to call him some kind of a messiah of the masses is idiotic. Great cricketer-Yes,Great Human being and a role model-hell no. As an Indian I hate him and this has nothing to do with his performances against India....I already acknowledged him to be a great cricketer. His condescending attitude that reflects on a lot of Pakis when they talk about India as they are some kind of a superior race(jeez what era do we live in) or about Indian cricket when there isn't a whole lot more that these pakis have accomplished in terms of cricketing accomplishments can be attributed to this guy. The fact that Kapil won a World cup way before him (and yes that triumph was head and shoulders above the 1992 triumph) ate him....He was jealous and even today doesn't acknowledge Kapil Dev at all who once was looked upon as an equal...He infact didn't want the Pakis to give away their wickets to Kapil. The fact is Kapil with absolute no support took way more wickets than him and if he hadn't hung around past his prime would be acknowledged as an equal. Also he takes credit for reverse swing(invented by Sarfaraz Nawaz),Wasim Akram(discovered by Javed Miandad) etc which is not true. He is just a big time poser......married a woman old enough to be his daughter and ofcourse Jewish....now in a perfect world nothing wrong with that but listening to his views makes him a hypocrite. Pakis lack educated and successful role models who are non corrupt and sad for them that Imran Khan is probably the closest they have got and hence they put him on a pedestal :cantstop:

Can't agree more...Imran was a good cricketer and nobody will deny this but this thread is about the person... Now as a person, we don't call him for chai,etc...we will only form our opinion based on public speeches, videos and acts... based on that, Imran is way below Kapil....he disowned his child, condones terrorists, has superiority complex about Pashtuns ( google his comments on Sindhis recently ), thinks he is some divine person, does Kejriwal type dharnas, tries to trivialize a great movement of civil disobedience used by Gandhi, etc Great cricketer - yes...as a person - nothing to emulate...Paaji all the way....humble haryanvi who fought for chapatis - not sure how many ICFers are aware of this wonderful story of how Kapil was not given enough chapatis...

lol this thread is taking a turn for the worse by saing Kapil paji was even close to Imran as a cricketer Its like the pakis saying Inzy was equal to Sachin
Ok, I will feed the troll. Why do you think Kapil is not as good as Imran as a cricketer? Kapil as a bowler was potent even in '92 when he got 25 wkts in Aus. IK stopped bowling in the end was getting by Waqar, Wasim and spinners. KD was a better batsman even in the end of his career. Scored a 100 in PE, SA in 92 coming in at 27-5. Kapil has more impact innings while IK was a grafter as a batsman. BTW, Are you from Pakistan?

Are you kidding me mate....First things first since when have you started watching cricket? Let me break it down to you Firstly this thread is not about Kapil vs Imran obviously....I just posted some things here to let people know that Imran Khan was jealous of the fact that a 24 year old Kapil had already accomplished something that defines an entire career i.e winning the world cup...circa 1983-1986 Kapil could do no wrong,he had the world at his feet. Now having said that APples to Apples Imran vs Kapil comparison is not way too off as you are making it out to be....Let me clear something here personally I rate Imran the "Test" cricketer much better than Kapil and overall Imran edges Kapil for me as well and this coming from a Kapil fan. Having said that...... This thread is about Imran khan the douchebag messiah. Now Yes Kapil had his own faults and that's a topic for another day. People are giving kudos to Imran the cricketer for some of his on-field accomplishments but that doesn't change the fact that he has had a condescending attitude towards India with his master race b.s-so yes I strongly hate him for that and so do many "INDIANS" that is enough for me to dislike him over some on-field accomplishments and go gaga over it. And I already made several other points to say why he is overrated by a generation of Pakis who are starved for an actual role-model. Again read the topic in the OP hope you have enough sense to put 2 and 2 together.

Huh..? Vitriol in this thread is disappointing..For me he is much better than Wasim, who did, still doing a lot for Pak people. Why would some one who is politically correct has to be a better person than who talks bitter..There is no black and white personalities (except terrorists, fully blac)humans are grey.Imran is a great human. Yes a bit of a hypocrite, but who doesn't..?

Martin crowe said that he was envious of Imran's personality . According to Mark nicholas he looked like a god , played like a god and nurtured a generation of great Pakistani talents . Tony Cozier recalls that the only thing the american women of the time knew about cricket was that the "handsome Imran " played that sport. Infact most credit him for bringing glamour into a sport like cricket . he was the original rockstar .He could have easily lived a comfortable life in England yet he chose to settle in Pakistan , he lives such a simple life , no flashy cars no nothing , working hard for the people , doing humanitarian work . Its a shame that Indians won't like him because of the kapil factor , as is evident by people bringing kapil into the thread but honestly if you can look beyond nationalities kapil wasn't even fit to tie Imran's shoelaces both as a cricketer and as a personality . No expert or pundit would ever put kapil ahead of Imran i don't know why that should be hard to accept for people.still the hate is slightly surprising because Mohinder amarnath once said on Tv that Indian girls used to scream for Imran and literally faint when he would run in to bowl and that too in matches Pakistan played against India in India.
