Ganguly is very popular in India. I dont think he is that deserving either. Even Sachin - people are super-crazy abt him, I would say he is unworthy of that sort of adulation. so often fans go overboard ..

Wicket taking bowlers are worth their weight in gold, it is why the WI and Aus sides built a cricketing empire for so many years. So whilst Imran's point about finding bowlers from a particular region seems off, he definitely has a point about finding bowlers. Had it not been for the umpteen years of no bilateral cricket, Pakistan may have pulled away further from India and it would have been due to the bowlers. Right now SA are formidable, it's not because of Amla or AB, but it's because of Steyn and co.
