nevada Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 It is too little too late I am afraid. He has been a super special player in the past but that time is over now.
Pagalpanti Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 How were the attacks he faced and the conditions? If he has really run into some serious form, no one is better than Yuvi when it comes to winning matches. And his experience in Aussie conditions will be immense for our middle order which is completely short on experience
fineleg Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Is the WC2015 team squad 15 or 16 players? When are countries expected to submit the squad to WC organizers? India should wait until Ind-Aus-Eng tri-series is over and then submit the squad.
Pagalpanti Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 ^AFAIK its 1st week of Jan. Most likely the ship has sailed for UV unless he puts on a few more performances selectors simply can't ignore.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 forget it, he's had his chances. cost us t20 wc, that should be shut doors on him. Thank you but enough is enough. And for those who say he can replace rohit, we have rahane and rayudu for that who have scored runs and won some games recently.

Yeah.. They might submit it then... But I'm sure they'll make a couple of changes after watching their performance in the CB series.. Easy to fake an injury and make a change in the squad
Lord Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Come on Yuvi :cheer: anyday better than Biryani :agree:
AmreekanDesi Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Selectors burnt their fingers by selecting him for the T20 WC.... No chance that they are repeating it... Even if he gets 5 consecutive hundreds in domestic' date=' he is not going to be in contention for Intl. cricket again.... Sad, but true...[/quote'] he was taken to the tournament when the whole world knew he was out of form for a while. he seems to be in form now so why not. how else is he supposed to make a comeback if his dom performances are not rewarded. I wish he and Sehwag are given a final farewell in the WC. Sehwag and Yuvi can be the first indians to win 2 wcs and feature in 3 finals! :yay:

velu Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Yuvi wasn't even invited for Dhoni's wedding :aetsch: but guess who was??? :--D Sakshi? :giggle: :hysterical::hysterical:
bharat297 Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 He's never done that well in Australia (apart from the 1 century in 2003). I don't see much need for him. I think between Jadeja and Ashwin we have our all-rounder bases covered.
gakgupta Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 one more ranji match and one more century and this time, it's a big one......182.....I get the feeling that he is in serious form and not selecting him for world cup would be big mistake..... I would rather give him couple of one day matches against Australia in ongoing series....He will always be better than rayudu or rahane at number 4
Austin 3:!6 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I think he will make the final XI in WC
Lord Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Hes not coming back for WC,but will come back in team after Team is knocked out of QFs with Rayudu making a magnificent 43 off 75 :--D

An inform Yuvi is probably one of the greatest LOI cricketer we have ever produced. He is also a very underrated spinner and a decent fielder.
Lord Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Why not? An inform Yuvi is probably one of the greatest LOI cricketer we have ever produced. He is also a very underrated spinner and a decent fielder. Don't think they'll take such a big chance now after what happened in WT20
Pagalpanti Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Why not? An inform Yuvi is probably one of the greatest LOI cricketer we have ever produced. He is also a very underrated spinner and a decent fielder. because Ranji form matters zilch as World cup is in Aus. Also while Rayudu has been scoring runs at decent pace it'd be stupid to sideline him for UV based on past laurels.
fineleg Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Yuvi has to be included in tri-series. Lets send him now to play M.Johnson, Anderson, Broad ...let see what happens in tri series. He is a ODI great ("has-been" great), give him a tri series chance.
