Austin 3:!6 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Poor stuff from Kohli. He needs to be calm and most importantly be cool.
Sandeep99 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 This is so UN-DHONI Like...Dhoni must be furious at Kohli for breaching the White Flag Dhobi Code of Conduct... :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
rajmarie Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Indian lapping it up' date=' still 2-0 up and could be 3-0 after this test, but Indians are used to failure, so I guess you guys need something to hold on to.[/quote'] That's true. Our team under MSD had been a failure and we are used to it. See the match thread. Us Indian knew that the collapse was round the corner. YeR we enjoyed the thrashing of Australia bowlers by kohli and Rahane. Was great to see Australia melt even if it's for 4 hours only.
CSK Fan Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 No point in replying to him as an Aussie, he is not
rajmarie Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 With the way India is going' date=' something has to give to bring around a turnaround. I am hoping Kohli is that guy who is going to bring a completely aggressive turn around to Indian test team. India was right on top when he was in the middle.[/quote'] I agree. Once MSD goes...and I pray to God that after WC we see him in IPL only. With Kohli as leader.....hopefully he can pick a XI that has balls to fight and fight till end no matter what. Yes you lose some.....but win much much more. We Indian fans just need to wait till MSD is gone. Also hoping that SC ban mamu from any form of cricket. That will surely make MSD exit confirmed after WC
amiret Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 excellent batsman BUT also a DRAMA QUEEN. Rahane played a better innings and he only let his bat do the talking .
PBN Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Don't think there was a need to carry it forward to the press conference at the end of the day. Kohli was rattled after that altercation, and lost his concentration. And almost got out had it not been for the dropped catch. If he had gotten out, I'm sure everybody would have been after him for losing the plot.
Jersey #10 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 I thought he got out to Johnson. Big words for someone from a team that's going to give up a lead to Australia. It would be more fitting if India had the lead and Kohli hadn't got out to Johnson. Quite hollow tbh 169 is great score - must applaud it.
Jersey #10 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Ajinkya was the surprise of the day! First time in Australia and what a flamboyant inning. SR 85 Kohli is the face of Indian team and it's almost expected of him to show up every time. Great inning-not taking anything away from him.
ZeroBlack Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Great article in today's Age beautiful writing. "They began bickering like siblings on a long car trip." http://www.theage.com.au/sport/cricket/angry-ant-virat-kohli-stuck-it-to-mitchell-johnson-and-came-out-the-victor-20141228-12erv2.html
express bowling Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 This is one of the best test knocks from Kohli. Tremendous aggression against the quicks, the authority with which he played and the diversity of strokeplay were all wonderful to watch. Well done. But please do not lose your concentration while batting from next knock.
AmreekanDesi Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 I think the problem with our players is that they take this a bit too seriously and personally. For an Aussie player as soon as he steps off the field and crosses the boundary rope everything that heppened on the field is left on the field. But our players take it personally and then take it outside the field and start whingeing abt food or having meltdowns in press conferences. Kohli had already won the battle on the field by smacking them around but now he honestly comes across as a sook
Sooda Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 It sounds like he was asked about it at length... although I guess his response could have been 'what is said on the field stays on it...'
Iconoclast Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Whining to the media is not a sign of aggression my dear ICF'rs
AmreekanDesi Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 It sounds like he was asked about it at length... although I guess his response could have been 'what is said on the field stays on it...' i feel the way he said that Johnson went at 4.7 run per over was lacking class. What if someone pointed out his average in Eng or the fact India is 2-0 down He won the battle ON the field and that is what matters. Unnecessary rubbish and I repeat makes him look like a whinger
Number Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Great article in today's Age beautiful writing. "They began bickering like siblings on a long car trip." http://www.theage.com.au/sport/cricket/angry-ant-virat-kohli-stuck-it-to-mitchell-johnson-and-came-out-the-victor-20141228-12erv2.html Nice. Looks like Virat has caught all the attention of Aus media, despite some other batsmen playing equally well if not more. Box office.
ZeroBlack Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 But running to the media is the reason he will never be as popular in Australia, he is a cry baby, starts it and then runs to the media.
Deleted_User_1 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Congrats on writing a message without the word "chewtiya" in it. I think this is a first for you. Saala mahachewtiya Kohli!! :giggle:
maniac Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Kohli has a big mouth and much like many aussies or some WI in the past has the skill to back it up no doubt but then again those guys were subtle and came out less embarassed when they got owned or things backfired but with Rat I don't see if he has the subtlety to handle it....Might get embarassing...I think Rahane needs to be captain
SLICKR392 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Wow. !!. Mohammed Ali of cricket. Lol. :hysterical:
