Yep we are solid team but no real talent who is world class :(
Waiting for some of the younger batsmen to transition through to Ranji. Jiwanjot looked like a good prospect but phased out a bit since that debut season. He's gotten starts this season but hasn't gone on to get a big one. Seems to struggle a bit against the spinners at times and can go into a shell as far as the strike rate is concerned. He's a good player to have on lively pitches as he plays out a lot of deliveries though lack of attacking shots could be an hindrance on flatter pitches. Gurkeerat has made played quite a few quick knocks. Could be hand in LOIs. Worth to monitor his performance for the shorter versions. I'd be happy if the team can string together a few domestic titles. They do well in the group stages and falter in the semis and finals in the last couple of years.

Yuvraj is working hard now. NOW after not being selected for WC probable also. He has felt that kick. Only if our selectors can be more proactive. Still respect to Yuvraj for working hard now

never judge cricketer by his first season normally teams figure cricketers out in 1-2 years and those who keep performing are real deal .. gurkeerat can play shorter formats but he needs to start making big hundreds to get considered even in odis or t20

Yeah ofcourse, what I meant was he was piling double hundreds on difficult tracks so it was obvious he caught the attention of most. I think he's gotten starts this season but hasn't gone on to get big ones like in the first season. Think it's a matter of time he starts converting. Needs to improve on his shot range and intent though. While eating up all those deliveries, you eventually get a ripper

who?
Players better then him ? Most of Karnataka batsman :cantstop: I lost touch recently but I have seen good players in ranji who have better skills but jiwanjot is just not that great vs spin has good defence but until he figures out how to score freely he will not make it

Yuvi took 3 wickets as well as Punjab took first innings lead. This was the last match before the WC team is announced on Jan 7 I think.

He has done everything he could do to get selected.... Ignoring him will prove fatal for our world cup chances.... Since this is dhoni's last world cup and may be last series, he should push to get YUVI back

This is World cup not test championship.

No chance he is going to come back into the test team. But definitely a chance in the odi team. Still, don't think they would take a chance with him in the world cup which is so nearby. Sad but true

Yuvi's been doing well, but I don't think he (or Gambhir) is upto international standard anymore. They can still pwn the domestic attacks though.
