But there were only two results possible, win or loss with so many overs still left. It was even more difficult to survive so many overs and draw the match.

That's why I said Viru's innings was crucial as it shown to others this score can be chasable. When he got out India score 117 in 22 overs...day ended with 137/1 made it easier for last day with only 250 required.

It was nothing like the last test pitch Kohli's agression made us competitive this series. Otherwise we would have laid down to die as usual. In fact, because of him and his style of batting, his getting into Aus's head, Aus delayed the timing of the declaration in the last test, giving us lesser time to survive They did not declare because they have won the series by denying India a chance to win. No team declares with a lead of 330 on the final day these days. If India has gone after a chase of 330, there was a 9/10 chance that we would have lost anyway. Draw was the only result that India deserved after allowing the Aussies to get 530.

They have always gone for entire whitewash, never for series win. And yes, they have declared even with 300 runs lead. Also recent aggressiveness is more because of Clarke cannot expect new rookie captain to show same intent ..

It was a pretty flat Chennai wkt which didn't deteriorate much.Yuvjar scored a 60 on the last day So scoring 250 on the last wasn't that tough .When the match started the real issue was whether we had the Overs to chase it or play out a draw.Viru's knock made sure of it

And MCG was a flat pitch and even Clarke said on the air that he would be looking for 370 here. Which basically means even with Clarke, draw was more likely.

Kohli was against Ozzie's and in their home ground and he almost pulled it with 147.. That other game was finished by SRt n Yuvi.. Btw.. Welcome back Riya Thank u veer. I know that..but normally we start the innings with ''draw'' in our mind..But Viru started with an intention to win,that mind set was new for us...very ''Un Indian''. Well Kohli obviously taken that aspect to another level in Adelaide..
