The order of the top 4 should be one of the following : 1. Rahane, Dhawan, Kohli, Rohit 2. Rohit, Dhawan, Rahane, Kohli 3. Rahane, Rohit, Kohli, Rayudu

Rahane, Rohit, Kohli, Rayudu There's also the combo: Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli, Rayudu and this is the one I'd prefer. If the pitch has something in it for the bowlers, would swap Rohit for Rahane.

However if conditions are favourble to seamers,I'll have Rahane open and Rayudu at 4
Kalia_Test Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Was just watching SSHD1 and Ganguly picked his 15 for the world which is going to be announced tomorrow His 15 was Dhawan Rahane Vijay (Spare opener) Rohit (@ 3) Kohli Raina Dhoni Rayadu (Back up WK & Middle order Bat) Jadeja and Ashwin as spinners And 5 seamers in Bhuvi Shami Yadav (First choice) Ishant and Kulkarni (ahead of Aaron) Anyway do u agree with this. I think mostly agree with this apart from Kulkarni ahead of Aaron and Rohit at 3 Gavaskar's 15 for the world cup Dhawan Rohit Rahane Kohli Raina Dhoni Rayadu Jadeja Ashwin Axar Seamers Bhuvi Yadav Shami Mohit and Binny Thank God Sunny is no where near the selection committee Will see anyone get all 15 players 100% correct Why Vijay as backup opener when you backup in Rohit already? Varun Aaron is a spray gun and he will prove to be very expensive in ODIs. Apart from BK, every pacer in this list is expensive. I will select ones who have the ability to pick wickets even if they are expensive.

He loves umesh though

Texan Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I would prefer Gavaskar's team over Ganguly's though I would not be particularly inclined to pick Binny. Other than that, I think Gavaskar's team looks good on paper.
