But champion comeback nonetheless

But champion comeback nonetheless It is still likely to be a issue; I think he'll get better and fix it eventually. Right now, I'd back Rahane over Kohli in heavy swing conditions.
Old guy Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 kohli did so well in south africa and ball moved a lot during his first hundred and it was both swing and seam i think its also about form and confidence ..just before england series there was ipl where he kep losing form and was basically crap at end and never got going until few runs in odis .. not making excuses but how can batsman who leaves ball with such confidence just lose it all .. many batsmen have failed like this kallis included in england so i am sure in future he will do well.

But the thing is that while the Australian bowlers are doing much better than the Indian counterparts, Johnson isn't at his best right now and the pitches are good for batting. By the way, everyone above who is saying that Smith's 700 runs are a fluke because of the weak Indian bowling attack, might I remind you of Smith's performances in South Africa and England. Along with that, the Indian bowls were not that bad in the first 3 tests.

But, his ability to hit the stratosphere was definitely enabled (partly) by the toothless nature of the Indian attack. And Johnson, Hazelwood, Harris, Lyon, Starc (with backup from Mitch Marsh and Watson) are much better than the Indian attack.
