The bouncer which nearly got Younus Khan 's head knocked out..younus saved his head but gifted his wicket was a 142k deadliest bouncer. there were three 145.5K delivery's of shammi that got shamsad and harris on the backfoot..a few balls also hit Pak batsman on their body. Umesh hit 148k yesterday and at least 6 of his balls were between 146 to 148k - few of his balls hit Pak batsman. some easiest of catches were lofted on Shammi and Umesh and finally pak batters decided to take the big risk against them and as soon as they decided to hit out.. they lost their wickets. even Mohit who was under 138k all the time was getting the benefits of these two fast bowlers and they gave respect to Mohit too..mohit was bowling 143k against Afghanistan but as mohit is a shrewd bowler - he thought of just maintaining his line n length and found pak batters at the back foot. Understand this trundlers invite the batsman to hit them ..and if fast bowlers don't hit batsman..batsman hit them. shammi and umesh hit their batsman 4 times.
sensible-indian Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Umesh is a must for us cos he is a wicket taker. But he needs to be more consistent with his line. Aus, NZ and SA are unforgiving if you spray it around. Even Pak took 23 runs off his 3 overs.

Shammi got the big hitter afridi & wahab riaz out looping Dolly catches....easy catches...catches which even by 10 year old son can take. umesh got Shahzad and maqsood( I guess this guy was also a good player and he could not handle a 146k ball coming on him and he looped an easy catch at 2 nd slip. umesh nearly closed the match in one over.

So many dropped catches on his bowling (Gayle and Smith each dropped once today) and also against RSA and UAE...Has been our match winner this WC... Changed the perspective of the game against Pakistan single handedly This guy is an effin OX ..Fittest INDIAN bowler in the history of the game...Has been playing non-stop (all test matches and tri-series, practice matches) but still bows 145+ CONSISTENTLY ... KEEP CALM AND TRUST IN YADAV!!

UYadav has always got raw deal under Dhoni.. It was only Kohli who gave Yadav the new ball against SLanka and WI and see where Yadav's confidence is

Everyone was saying his line and length should be better or he won't work. And turned out true, didn't it? And no, you cannot put down one bowler to praise another, that is just pathetic

If I'm not wrong, he seems to get the ball to swing lot more than Shami. On the day when he can get it right( control), he can be quite a handful with his pace with the new ball.

Ball needs to swing from around off stump area.

Shami might be stealing all the kudos but UYadav is my pick.. Yadav is doing an amazing job and helping Shami picking up wickets... Finally Umesh is getting his due... Wait and watch in Bangla match.. He will eat their batsmen alive... P.s. - Has probably the best fitness and stamina among all the bowlers after Johnson... be it the 50th over or 0.5 over, this guy bowls 145 effortlessly with a runup of barely 14 steps..
