I won't judge bowler by 1 game but bhuvi does keep it tighter than others and I don't see many lose balls Can see him do well at home holding one end if needed and get wickets when it swings like he proved in England.

He needs swinging conditions and he needs to Im prove in flat conditions. I wanna make it clear he has very strong defensive technique is the test all rounder we need.

Did really well after that stint with Sekar in DD. But sometimes you need to use common sense as well! The spearhead doesn't have one, why blame the juniors?

Problem is people saying he was unfit in the match is just an excuse. You cannot bowl so many overs with injury, especially, ankle. In fact, he is bowling in the nets since Gabba test.

Probably at an average pace of 115k. EMBARASSING.

express bowling Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 All our bowlers are incomplete and not good at all. They can succeed only when conditions are ideally suited to them. Shami needs reverse swing friendly conditions, Bhuvi needs conventional swing, Umesh needs a good day, Ashwin needs spinning pitches. Whenever the conditions are unfavourable to their style...they just fall apart. Bhuvi is no better and no worse than the others.

express bowling Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Test matches ---- Umesh, Bhuvi and Shami have all played 12 tests so far Wickets -- Shami 47 from 12 tests @ 3.92 per test. Umesh 43 from 12 tests @ 3. 60 per test. Bhuvi 29 from 12 tests @ 2.40 per test. Averages-- Shami 36.16 Umesh 36.90 Bhuvi. 35.00 Strike rates -- Shami 57 Umesh. 51 BK. 66 Shami is the best wicket taker and Bhuvi is the worst so far. Inspite of taking so few wickets Bhuvi has a marginally better average. Proves that he is the most economical. Umesh takes the fewest number of balls to take a wicket, only 51 which is good. Bhuvi takes the most number of deliveries..66 which is not good. All their averages are bad.

Umesh. 47 from 38 @ 1.23 per match. BK. 44 from 37 @ 1.19 per match. Averages --- Shami. 26.09 Umesh. 35.90 Bhuvi. 36.60 Strike rates -- Shami. 27 Umesh. 37 Bhuvi. 47 Economy rates -- Shami. 5.7 Umesh. 5.9 Bhuvi. 4.6 Shami has clearly been the standout ODI pacer. Superb at taking wickets. Up there with the best. Bhuvi has not been able to take wickets. He is not a wicket taker in either format. His economy has been superb. Umesh has been the worst of the 3 in ODIs.

How is that bias ? Did he divide odis that way ? Or did he highlight home performance ? He just posted stats without distinction between home and away ..

Tests, really?[/quote'] Yep that's unfair I think bhuvi has to be support bowler in certain conditions and main in certain cannot play him as one of 3 bowlers in Australia but can see him doing well in South Africa if pitches are good . I do not think he wanted to be biased he made a good post and you can add more details yourself . I feel calling him biased was little harsh specially agate rhe put in so much time in that post ..
