rkt.india Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Whenever I have seen him bowl in 4 or 5 day matches...he has been very accurate and bowled to a plan. Sustained pace too. When did you see him? I dont think any Gujarat ranji match was shown on TV last year.
JaFanatic Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 We haven't tried ishwar pandey who is supposed to be a good accurate pacer with decent pace' date=' can hit the deck a bit[/quote'] Where did you get that from ? he is slower than Mohit, a 128-133k bowler same as Bhuvi.
JaFanatic Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 tearaway seamers should be aaron and yadav more accurate but pacey - shami and ishant, ishwar pandey line and length - bhuvi Phenom, clearly you haven't seen Pandey. He is atleast 7ks slower than Shami on average pace.
Shivaji bhonsle Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 When did you see him? I dont think any Gujarat ranji match was shown on TV last year. What happened to that Pathan guy from Baroda? Not irfan, that 16-17 year old pathan dude who was bowling 135 plus in a match I watched against UP last year. Is he still around?
express bowling Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 When did you see him? I dont think any Gujarat ranji match was shown on TV last year. I don't remember exactly. Most probably they were zonal matches. He bowled Gambhir with a 140 k delivery after setting him up with some outside off stump good length deliveries and a bouncer. I liked the thought process and execution of the whole over.

vvvslaxman Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Sreesanth never did that. He lacked stamina. He was usually done by that time of the day. Remember' date=' WC 2011 final, he was running out of breath after first 3 overs. Also, he didnt play enough to warrant any such opinion. He was awful in 2010 SA series in Capetown when they needed intensity and we could have won that test. In fact, both Zak and Sreesanth were out of gas. Sreesanth was barely clocking 125 and Zaheer was hitting mighty 115k. In fact, I have never seen any Indian fast bowler maintain that intensity. Zaheer has never been that fit after 2005. You need to be extremely fit and great stamina to do that.[/quote'] Wrong.. Sreesanth has few times bowled at decent pace late in the evening. Not all the time.
MCcricket Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Bottom line is to bowl with intensity and purpose and you need to up your fitness level n mental adjustments
rkt.india Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Wrong.. Sreesanth has few times bowled at decent pace late in the evening. Not all the time. He has not even played enough. Remind me when he did that. He always lacked stamina to do that. He played 27 tests and averages as much as Ishant, Shami, and Umesh. Umesh, Aaron both have bowled quick whole day but it is not just about pace. In England, Aaron bowled at 140 plus average speed in a 9 over spell on the stroke of tea and looked like taking wicket every over in that spell.
rkt.india Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Bottom line is to bowl with intensity and purpose and you need to up your fitness level n mental adjustments Umesh has a very good fitness, but for him, it is all about concentration.
express bowling Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 That was a list A match. No it wasn't. 5 day zonal matches were televised last year.
India-KXIP fan Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Excellent comments by Kohli :two_thumbs_up:

I had posted that this guy is better than all india pacers and is one level ahead. varun was Pacy and accurate too... this time DHONI forced him to bowl only bouncers as Dhoni dreamt that bouncers will win him another test( just like ishant won the lord's test).... Bring Back varun

Temujin Khaghan Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 what we really need is kohli to first get some good slippers ,if you drop 10-12 regular catches in slips no matter what bowling attack they will get demoralised.A new bowling coach is must who can work with these guys. +1 15 actually
vishalvirsingh Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 That fluke Ishant spell at Lords has done more harm than good to our bowling. Now they think bouncer is cure to every ailment. Kohli too think that was some kind of a great spell. I agree RKT..DHONI started believing that our fast bowlers can create a Bounce magic every time and right fielders would catch in as well and batsman would behave like England mid batters and throw away their wickets.. Johnson could tear away this plan.. even harris did tear away this plan and haddin got out a few times but he also managed. BUT I do say that England batsman thre their wickets to ISHANT and ishant spell was also VERY VERY SPECIAL....I guess because of that spell he got kinda injured and could not play the NEXT Test as well.
vishalvirsingh Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Were the Umpiring a bit biased against us in australian series.... Rahane got a couple of wrong decisions Shikhar Dhawan got hit by helmet and declared out. Bhuvi did not hit and still the third umpire gave a wrong decision. I was kinda sure of at least one steve smith LBW decision not given for Umesh. even one warner decision was fishy. Not too highlight that IShant got a few times unlucky against Watson as well .. I believe ishant got Watson out atleast 3 times and not given in this series.... I strongly recommend BCCI to go for technology as Its definitely going to help us win more matches than LOOSE. not that we don't get lucky decisions but we get more unlucky decisions than lucky decisions and I am certain about that. All visiting teams will BENEFIT Big with technology Aid.
