Iconoclast Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Bowled faster than Booby Bhai ... but that's not saying much. If he can hit 130kph consistently with good line and length he could be India's first proper seam bowling all rounder in some time.

I have this feeling that Dhoni is keen to get Mohit and aaron and shammi and umesh need to perform better else they are gone. I guess ishant is urgently needed in this pace attack. bhuvi is also looking offcolour totally..he is consistently slower then Binny.

bowl_out Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Binny is a No.8 and fourth bowler... Let's not push it beyond that... No chance of him replacing Bhuvi... Get Jaddu back at 7, and play Binny at 8... Top order is more concerning now... And Dhoni's form too... He seems to have forgotten what his role is... Maybe he has been forced to come in situations that he is not comfortable in...
vishalvirsingh Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 Binny is definitely a no 7 as far as his batting his concerned.. he really bats well..may be better than jadeja akshar and ashwin so when ever he is played he shud be ahead of jadeja. he has better defensive technique than DHONI too so he shud come ahead of DHONI when early wickets fall.

That may not happen in WC as Mohit/Kulkarni are only backups and might be called in case of an injury. Considering today's performance, it looks as if Dhoni has lost confidence in BK as he was bowled for just 2 overs. Ishant is definitely coming back in the playing 11. One of Umesh/Shami/BK is likely to be replaced. In these conditions, Binny is almost comparable to BK in terms of bowling. Slightly higher pace, decent line/length. Swing is non existent as of now for BK. But Binny holds a massive advantage when it comes to batting. Capable of hitting the big shots and can survive if needed like he showed in England.
