:haha: ok but was the Indian ODI team of the late noughties as good as the Aus team of that period ? At Home on the Flat Mud tracks of India ? In the period 2005-2010 , Aus dominated India in India . Out of 14 ODI matches they won 9 , we won 4. In the last 5 Years we have become better at defeating Aus in India.

Talking of odis aus lost 3-2 in India,lost 4-0 in England in 2012,lost 8 of the 14 odis against lanka at home,drew 2-2 in Windies,poor in the CT all this in the last 2-3 years.they are not that great

This question is like the America and the rest of the world asking "Why are Indians so smart?" Smart as in American way of saying - Good in education. Well it's something we put lot of heart in growing up as kids. Same thing. These Aussies who play sports give it all. Not that the others country players don't. It's their whole infrastructure and management and making sure right person and deserving player is playing at the right time makes them always a challening side to beat as they are usually playing their best players who are at their best. They all do certain things which they are really good at and not bits and piences in little things so that they can cover every part.

I say this as an Australian, I always worry when we are chasing. Faulkner can only save our rear ends so many times. However, this is the first time where we bat ridiculously deep. Mitch Johnson at 9 and Starc at 10 is a ridiculous lower order, even Hazelwood or Cummins are hardly bunnies.

Spoke to someone yesterday who knows Alex Koutoris (sp.)- physio for Australia. Faulkner will only miss 1-2 games at the most. Will be back for the 3rd match at the latest. One of those games is Bangladesh and I'll say this frankly, if we can't beat them in Australia, the whole team should be sacked. Can get away playing Mitch Marsh in Faulkner's spot in game 1. Have heard Faulkner hasn't been internally ruled out of the first game anyway, but I can see them taking the conservative option and him missing 2 games.

Their performance in international baseball, basketball, soccer and ice hockey tournaments is not exceptional. US would probably take the IPL style of cricket much more seriously than international competitions.

No one asks such a question. India is a shockingly poor country and has an average IQ of about 80 as per research. Not saying Lanka is much better but then again we don't like to shower praise on ourselves. Are u kidding? US dominates in the Olympics every year...pretty much would own australia in every sports out there. if cricket was to be serious in US it would make more revenue than all the test nations comnined. No one even takes soccer srsly yet still the team plays exceptionally well. We do however take soccer srsly at women's international which is why it's pretty much no 1 women's team.

Why Australia better ? So many reason, home ground, other bowler somehow not able to bowl Same killing way like Oz, look yesterday . In 35 balls, Warner and maxi hammer 160 with 25 fours and 10 sixes, what is Feeble India did , they scored 35 in 49 balls between Dhoni,Raina,Binny,Rohit,Kohli. Australia have match winner allrounder, Watson, Faulkner,johnson,maxwell , Mitchell marsh is good bowler too., their fielding is sharpe, wicketkeeper not drop catch, Wade was weak in keeping they dropped him.do you think India and Lanka afford to drop even failure keeper, they keep playing, Dhawan keep playing despite failure,Naman sit and poor guy has no chance for even warm up game. I, myself cricketer during my college days in India and no cricketer want to deliver bad ball but It just happen.
