Perhaps it would have been better if he took a break instead of playing the tri series. Now after a few failures in the tri series he has lost a bit of confidence. He just needs one good innings to get it back.

This is not how he batted in the Tests. Today he was not even attacking. He was just going to defend. He had tons of such deliveries in Tests and in SA. You are still hung up on his stats in Australia.

So, it is difficult to judge what exactly is the cause of his bad form.

You honestly say Afghanistan bowlers are even half as good as Malinga? Haven't you seen how many players have struggled against Malinga over the years.

Also, with Malinga, thing is every Indian plays him well. We are so used to playing Malinga in 5-6 years. Malinga does not prose that x-factor to us that he does to ther teams. He did not do much against Aus or England, why? Why didnt he do much against Aus last tour and only SL. Even GG who was struggling scored runs against Aus last tour in ODIs, but he did not. If he does that, I will change my opinion. Talking about Afghanistan, their fast bowlers are pretty good, I would like to have a Hamid Hassan in Indian team any day.

He's a class batsman and your best batsman for heck's sake. He should have the technqiue to survive such spells or else he should be deep in the middle order like 4 or 5.

All commentators were in praise of Afghan pacers yesterday. Neither there is any fact to prove. This is for everyone to see. Regarding Afghan pacers, I will take Hamid Hassan any day in an Indian team. He is a fantastic bowler. They have pace and they seamed the ball both ways early on even on a pitch as flat as Adelaide. They just lacked the depth in bowling. Otherwise, two front line pacers Hamid and Daulat were pretty good. In terms of Kohli, I want to be proved wrong, ASAP. We have a match against SA and we will need runs from him there.

Kohli, IMO, has struggled to cope with bounce when defending as one day pitches have been bouncier even at Adelaide than what we saw in tests. Movement has also troubled him, like we saw yesterday against Hamid and Daulat.
