No, they are just given a longer rope, more support from the captain, encouragement, etc. Well like Afridi, they are bound to succeed sometimes if given free license. Yet this will stop other young players from getting a chance.

Jaddu, Ishant, Rohit, and a few others... It is just that he manages to pull some of them into CSK... Remember, Jaddu was always on Dhoni's favorites list, even when he played for RR and KTK

mancalledsting Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Agree- on current for doesnt deserve his spot- but in CT final was excellent with bat and ball in crunch situation and on his day can run through a line up. He is like Indias afridi- always included so that we hope he has one of his 1/10 matches moments

And all those above, there is no way Dhoni gives the same opportunity to others outside his selective group of players no matter how good they are And I will also say that it is not Jadeja being match winner, it is that if you give any player that big a rope with no worries, no tension of being dropped, he will come good once in 10 games. Even Irfan or Joginder has shown that. But none of them got a long rope. It is just about some players getting biased preference.
urbestfriend Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Dhoni has his set of favorite players, and it has played off in ODI's..I dont think it is a good idea to bring new players at this stage, they will be under pressure to perform , and could do badly than Jaddu..But he always performs in Indian conditions with ball, so he is going nowhere.

Two of the greatest bats of the new generations who were out of form for a series or two? Rohit can be the only one who can be used as an example, but the CSK bias is still obvious
