shakib_hero Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 It is silly to suggest that umpires would be blatantly biased towards one team where the match is a high-profile event being watched by millions. These are human errors, though I wonder whether the scope of DRS can be expanded to look into it.

A rank full toss should have landed somewhere outside the stadium. But ball started at chest height, but it rapidly got low possibly just below hip. Dar immediately called noball. Rohit holed out . .. First of all if the ball had gone for six things would have been normal lol. But since he was out bangbros are jumping up and down. Dar called it a noball around the time Rohit receieved it. How would he know Rohit would get out in that ball :hysterical: Second one is Imrul Keyes literally hit the ball, slips were appealing. But MS Tony did nothing. Whatever reason umpire didn't give that out Those are the only 2.. Everything else is nonesense.

Rohit' non-dismissal - wouldn't have hurt, India would still change plans with Dhoni/Raina and would have scored close to 300. There was doubt in Dhawan's catch, when he caught it the 2nd time, the backside of the foam seemed to move. Didn't see the LBW, but DRS is same for everybody..if it sucks, it does because of umpire's call.

If the waist high no-ball did not lead to a catch most commentators would probably be saying fair enough or marginal call. What's the rule anyway? i think it was over waist high when Rohit met the ball but probably dipping to below waist high by the time the ball reached the stumps.

There was no part of boundary that was blocked by his feet. In such a scenario where you cannot prove he was touching the rope or moving it exactly at the time when he had ball in his hand, benefit of doubt goes to fielder. You have to take fielder's word. That is how cricket has been for decades. In this case there is zero evidence to suggest he touched the border.

That is why Rohit was in slighly crouched stance when he met the ball. It started definitely above waist. Probably a slower full toss? Not sure.. It was not a howler by any means. lot of noballs were not given as well.. Few went over the head.
mhr123 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Yah they were .. they didn't give Tamim Iqbal N.O. when he clearly nicked it. Raina was N.O since portion of the ball pitched outside so third umpire according to the rule had to go with the field umpire. Rohit was 50/50 but the runs made by him later on didn't really matter as BD didn't past 200 .. no player made more than 35 ... if it was a close match then may be BD team had a point. But on the whole Umpiring was biased against India ,, as a clear out decision went against them.

Also Bangladesh fans have practiced the art of blaming umpires for years. They always make that as a focal point after every loss. Just a coping mechanism to deal with failures.

Lbw - clearly pitched outside leg. Dhawan catch - Replays showed it was legitimate. BD fans should stop being cry babies and move on. It will just make them look like sore losers.
