Anything over 250 wont be easy with this thin batting line. People are talking about like we have chased lot of 300 scores in Australia. Reality is we have not. So people should please be real and dont imagine which has not happened or live in fantasies. This is just a fantasy talking about Kohli will come out and we will chase 300 against Aus in Aus. How many 300 scores has Australia chased, you have to throw all other stats away because those tri series are so taxing on touring sides after playing long test series. Chasing 300 anywhere is not that easy and if there is one guy who knows and can do it it is Kohli he needs some support and luck. Hope it does not come to that,this semis is not going to be won by batsmen alone, bowlers need to continue their good work. People need to stop overestimating this Aussies, they are good but not unbeatable.

Didnt kohli chase 330 in hobart , last time i checked it was not in SC but Australia, yeah big deal he did not chase 300 in six matches he played against aussies , how many of them were chases .

We have been beating SL, left, right, and center in last few years. I am talking about chasing against Australia under lights. We did not chase well in SA, didnt in NZ too. Chasing big score in SC or in India is different than chasing in Aus, Sa, NZ under lights.

This will decide our Mauka Mauka (chance to win World Cup). Yes to the first. No to the second. Happy to be proven wrong. If scrape past Aus and play NZ, I think the all-out attack tactics of Baz might prove to be too risky against the slow strangling "process" of Dhoniconda. But Aus seems a hurdle too big.:nervous:

Yeah right he will create a situation just to satisfy your rules,If time comes if there is anyone who is remotely capable of doing that chase it is Kohli.

I am not talking about chasing in swing and seam conditions. If ball would swing then even our bowlers will come into play and we would not have to chase big scores. Ball does not swing much in Australia and pitches have been flat no go green grass at all. We failed in NZ last year on flat pitches. Happened same in SA before that. Same happened in 2012 in Aus. None of those pitches apart from one at Wanderers under lights had swing. Kohli is yet to score anything substantial against Aus in Aus. I will believe when he does that.

Though he has not done anything yet Our death batting is not so great, MSD is not the force of old as a hitter and probably could come higher than Raina where he can still accumulate at a good rate. Im worried about MJ and Starc vs our top order, need to see them off , the rest of the Aus attack can be dealt with.

I am not comparing him to anyone. It is people here who are clamoring for him that he is master at chasing and will come into his own if we have to chase 300 against Aus. I know he is good at chasing but not in Aus. Good in India, SC conditions. Chasing is never easy in Aus for anyone, not just him. So, why so much focus on VK will click and we will win. People here has developed a misconception that Kohli on his own is making us win matches by chasing 280-300 runs overseas.

Kohli has major part in one of them.. If that is not good at chasing over 300 then what is good then. How many matches has Australia chased over 300 in Australia against India and won? If India is chasing over 300 in semis chances are they are losing the match.

They could not do it against any side this cup and how can we expect it against one of the best bowling sides. They have nothing to lose they should play free and easy and take their chances.
