jhakati Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 If India won the toss and batted, our bowlers would've looked like champs bowling under lights and we'd have racked up >300. Unfortunate when toss is the deciding factor in a big game like this.
bulbul Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 We are not Bangaldeshis/Lunkans or Paksitnais to whine.......
jhakati Posted March 26, 2015 Author Posted March 26, 2015 We are not Bangaldeshis/Lunkans or Paksitnais to whine....... Not whining, well played to AUS for putting a good score, but the result would have been the opposite if we batted 1st, FACT.
zep1706 Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Not really. On this pitch Australia would have chased down anything under 300 and India would not have scored more than that against Australia. We have been outplayed. Just accept it.
bowl_out Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 We are not Bangaldeshis/Lunkans or Paksitnais to whine....... ++ The better team won
Kalia_Test Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Toss is part and parcel of game... Something wrong if our strategy is based on toss...In this match, there was no real impact of toss...Pitch stayed true throughout.
BeautifulGame Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Not really .Good teams don't go looking for excuses We were beaten by a better team playing at home regardless of toss. No need to look for excuses
Marut Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Australia would have won anyway. Yeah, match would have been closer if India had batted first. Mostly scoreline would have read: India 280/6; Aus 281/3 off 45
Captain Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Bollocks. The Aussies would have won even if we had batted first.
jhakati Posted March 26, 2015 Author Posted March 26, 2015 Toss is part and parcel of game... Something wrong if our strategy is based on toss...In this match, there was no real impact of toss...Pitch stayed true throughout. Not about the pitch, it's the pressure chasing in a semi-final...
Kalia_Test Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Not about the pitch' date=' it's the pressure chasing in a semi-final...[/quote'] Someone had to face the pressure...there are disadvantages batting first too...teams may not know what a safe total is sometimes and end up lower than what their batting might is capable of... Toss will be vital only when conditions change dramatically ( heavy heavy dew, early morning massive swing, etc). In this case, nothing like that happened...
Appuhami Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 We are not Bangaldeshis/Lunkans or Paksitnais to whine....... At least learn to respect to the name of other country.
coffee_rules Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 toss gave them an adv. Finch and Smith took it away from us. After that it was all a catch up.
CG Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Yes toss is advantage no doubt chasing is tough in semis. But we did not play well.
Number Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 No. We wouldn't have been able to defend second innings. The ball was getting wet at times.
