Specialist coaches in each of the disciplines to iron out any chinks, coupled with a team manager (maybe Shastri, at least that'd serve to continue to keep him out of the commentary box) and a good aggressive captain like Kohli should do.

First time in history :cantstop: We have won series in countries like England New Zealand and West India even before he played for India Dhoni was a bad test captain.Still we won in countries like New Zealand and West Indies at least Ganguly such a great captain then how many overseas test series we won under him? Don't forget Ganguly had 5 ATG in his line up at their peak so he captained the strongest Indian team ever as well
zep1706 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Chappell was actually a great coach. It's just our players were too lazy to get along with his style of functioning Not sure about that. Almost every player (except Dravid perhaps) had an issue with him, be it Ganguly, Laxman, Tendulkar and so on. These guys get along with people really well, so the problem must be with Chappell and not them. If it was just one player then I would have given him the benefit of doubt. He has never had any success at any level as a coach. Many of the indian players were too full of pride and I personally believe every word of what he said about Dravid not being respected enough as captain

Kristen did it perfectly. Read Tendulkar 's book where he mentioned how Chappel wanted to remove Dravid as captain He was just a control freak

Dada turned team India, He can do it again.

Ganguly was sitting out. ganguly is prone to doing politics who can forget him running out laxman vs zim.
