It's absurd to point your fingers on him so early.

We had this situation with Vijay Zol who was tried in the A team and is now grinding it out in domestic cricket. If Iyer can consistently perform for a few seasons by all means. The same with Hooda. The guy has a purple patch for RR and people want Jadeja out. The likes of Raina, Kohli etc are quite young already. Lokesh Rahul is quite young and has done it for a few seasons. On the whole India have a young test T20 and ODI side with not many players who are regulars (MSD, Binny etc) who are above 30 years old. Hold on with the "give youth a chance" chants. We need to stop looking for Tendulkar in every player , where you get a finished product at the age of 16 . That may never happen again . Virat was outrageously good in his teens , but even he took a good 3-4 years to break into the Indian side . The likes of Zol , Iyer & Samson seem to be getting a free pass into the side with very little to show in domestic cricket . Do these guys possess such talents to be given that special treatment ? forget Tendulkar ,you need to be alteast at the level of Yuvi or Virat imo & none of these guys are even close . if your not that special then the player should be spending time in domestic and earn his spot . The likes of Jeevanjot or Mandeep should have played ahead of Iyer here .

Not only that, Tendulkar, with all his talent, needed to keep evolving as a batsman to remain one step ahead of the opposition. He wasn't the most technically correct player when he started out. He used to lean on his bat in his stance, which resulted in his head falling over and made him play across the line. He knew that to complement his talent and make the most of it, he needed to keep working on those little chinks in his game. Over a period of time, the most talented batsman also became the most technically correct batsman. HippoSucks Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Hardly worrying signs for India because most of the batsman in the main team are very young. We won't need replacements for them for at least the next 5 years (unless any of them fall out of form) and by then some of these young talents should improve. On the other hand these performances by the Australian batsman are crucial for Australia as they will need 2-3 replacements soon for Rogers, Clarke and possibly Voges.

vishalvirsingh Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I am feeling disappointed by the batsman that india A have---thank god now Virat is fighting it out.. but whats mukund, Karun nair, shreyas Iyer doing.. even Pujara is not scoring on indian tracks...even naman ojha failed...I was beleiveing that he is better than saha..failed big. are they india's best..if yes they are way behind kohli rohit shikhar raina and rahane..only K L Rahul Scored and now virat is scoring.... why such a useless track was prepared...even a genuine fast bowler like varun n umesh cant make any impact... curators and selectors- that's the reason india is not producing genuine fast bowlers.
