Raghav_12 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I thought AB TAK CHAPPAN was made on the story of Maharastra Cops. Encounter was made popular by police of notorious state like Maharashtra and UP. If you are young and have no clue what happened during 90's, then watch the movie Sehar and see how Kalyan Singh formed STF for these specific encounters all the big Mafia, Shri Prakash, Sripat Dhadi of Late 90's were killed in fake encounters. Let Modi go out of power, you would see all encounter movies on Gujrat police. Just wait.
beetle Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 My take regarding the 1st incident of the prisoners: 1. Perhaps the Police should learn to HANDCUFF and restrain the prisoners before transporting them ? This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. 2. If they were already handcuffed and properly restrained , how were they able to snatch the weapons from the police ? Snatching a weapon from a Cop should be more difficult than snatching candy from a child . 3. The prisoners were inside a VAN . How did they jump out of a VAN ? Was the Van not secured ? Just simple questions that all of us should be asking . NOBODY is denying the Police's right to defend itself. I think it is illegal to handcuff under trials(not sure) ....something about human rights. The police men are supposed to hold their hands.
Khalpat Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Let Modi go out of power' date=' you would see all encounter movies on Gujrat police. Just wait.[/quote'] Ok sure. But still your sentence that "it has been made popular by gujarat" is not true. Gujarat police would not have done even 1% of encounters what Maharashtra and UP police did and I am sure many other states would have done the same. Popular to Nana Patekar ne banaya na
Raghav_12 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I think it is illegal to handcuff under trials(not sure) ....something about human rights. The police men are supposed to hold their hands. There are circumstances in which undertrials can be handcuffed. Hand-cuffing is discouraged but not barred.

Popular to Nana Patekar ne banaya na If you believe the #AdLibs, the following was the state of India before Modi became CM of Gujarat (or until he came into limelight): - No communal riots engineered by the state - No encounter killings - No RIght wing loonies policing the culture - Nobody dividing the electorate
Number Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I thought AB TAK CHAPPAN was made on the story of Maharastra Cops. Off topic but I am yet to see a movie in my life in which Maharashtra home minister is not a villain. :haha:
amiret Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 I think it is illegal to handcuff under trials(not sure) ....something about human rights. The police men are supposed to hold their hands. It has been discussed in the first page . SC guidelines have been mentioned. Besides in this case it is irrelevant because the Indian Express reports that at least 1 Prisoner was Handcuffed . The problem is they were taken off ! " The bus carrying them with a heavily armed escort left the Warangal Central jail at 8:40 am. At 10:30 while they were near Jangaon, Vikaruddin requested for a halt as he wanted to answer nature’s call. Reserve Sub-Inspector Uday Bhaskar took off his handcuffs and took him out and when they returned he was about to handcuff him again when Vikaruddin snatched the AK-56 rifle that the RSI was carrying."

MSM organizations have focussed on Gujarat and sometimes ignored the other cases.
Raghav_12 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 lol at NDTV. Vaiko is not Tamil Nadu. Having said that TN should be the last govt to seek inquiry on encounters. Remember the encounter of the bank robbers in chennai My purpose was not to bring Tamilnadu politics in picture. Just wanted to highluight police high-handedness in the case which is also noted by many others. I agree Tamilnadu neither had any stellar record. Hell I am never ever going to support Tamilnadu police. There were a case 2-3 years back in Chennai where some DCP killed 5 biharis (??) in cold blood claiming they were robbers (probably the same case that you are talking about) My point is any society should very senstive about police atrocities.

Claiming to be robbers? They were robbers identified via CCTV footage and images were released to media for their search . The only issue was whether it was staged encounter or not .
amiret Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 Supreme Court of India : Magisterial inquiry mandatory for all police encounters Sep 23, 2014 : The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued a 16-point guideline on police encounters, which includes mandatory magisterial inquiry into the incident and prompt delivery of FIR, diary entries and sketch to the concerned court. Viewing the statistics on fake encounters with suspicion, the court also said that the figure provided by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) “raises doubts about its correctness” as they reported only two such incidents across the country last year. The court felt that in spite of constitutional and statutory provisions aimed at safeguarding personal liberty and life of a citizen, the cases of death in police encounters continue to occur. It insisted that a magisterial inquiry must invariably be held in all cases of death, which occur in the course of police firing. LINK

Shivaji bhonsle Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Good riddance. I have no doubt that these people are SIMI activists. I hope the trend continues..
Kalia_Test Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Cop injured in Nalgonda encounter succumbs to injuries This is the encounter a couple of days back - SIMI activists again A police sub-inspector, who was critically injured in exchange of fire with suspected SIMI cadres in Nalgonda district last week, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday even as combing operation to nab more members of the banned outfit continued for the fourth day. Siddaiah was the second casualty in the shootout that occurred in Janakipuram of Nalgonda on April 4. Police constable K Nagaraju was killed on the spot during the encounter while circle inspector Bala Ganga Reddy was injured. These are the real heroes. They work for meagre salaries ( and I wont even grudge them if they take small bribes here and there ). They put in their lives at stake so that common people like us can sleep well at night. RIP my heroes

Jumping to conclusions and then having change of opinion. This is not the same incident as OP but one that happened on April 4th or so. Same SIMI operation though. Your point is still valid. People are quick to jump to conclusions.
amiret Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 this was a different encounter . the 2 SIMI terrorists killed a few days back were part of a group of SEVEN who escaped from Madhya pradesh Jails in 2013. Any reasonable person would question how they managed to escape from the Prison and what MP Govt has done to prevent such incidents in the future.

Any reasonable person would question how they managed to escape from the Prison and what MP Govt has done to prevent such incidents in the future. Any reasonable person would know that these terrorists are highly motivated and they would go to any extend to escape. A reasonable person would also know that our cops aren't the most sophisticated police force but you don't take panga with them if you want to live. They do a fantastic job with the limited resources they have. Man, I wish I was the cop who killed these animals.
Gollum Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Happy to hear this news. SIMI,PFI, Al Ummah, IM have made great inroads into Southern India the last 10-15 years and have spread communal tensions into the minds of the general population through their barbaric violent activities. Good to see these worms being taken out. Respect to our security personnel who are underpaid, not recognized, used by politicians but who give their lives to safeguard us.
Gollum Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 https://in.newshub.org/shoot-out-takes-political-colour-15034749.html In the hospital, the Chief Minister enquired with the doctors about the health condition of critically injured SI Siddaiah, who is battling for life. Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy spoke to the family members of the SI and talked to his wife, also admitted in the hospital, who had given birth to a male baby on the day of the Janakipuram incident. The police constable who was killed by the SIMI cadre died in the same hospital and on the same day when his wife delivered a baby boy. This is so depressing. :((
