The win completed a comprehensive 6-1 series win for Bangladesh. The hosts needed 20 runs from the last 11 balls when last batsman Saleh Ahmed arrived at the crease to join Mohammad Saifuddin. The pair took six off the penultimate over before Saifuddin cracked three fours in the final over bowled by Conor McKerr to ensure the win. Earlier captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Mehedi Hasan struck fifties to keep up with the 233-run chase. For South Africa, Wiaan Mulder and Dayyaan Galiem took two wickets each. Having opted to bat, the visitors made 232-6 in 50 overs. Galiem struck 53 off 49 balls including seven fours while Dean Foxcroft made 49 off 92 balls. Mohammad Safiuddin took two wickets while there was one each for Nahid Hasan, Kazi Anik, Sanjit Saha and Nazmul. maniac Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Their rise reminds me of Srilanka but currently Bangladesh is missing 2 factors that have usually triggered massive raise in the quality and self beleif of teamas to get to the next level 1) AN inspiring captain 2) AN out and Out superstar that makes it to a X1 in any format. For eg;Westindies golden period with Lloyd,Srilanka with Ranatunga,Pak with Imran but don't see a player of that stature in Bangladesh yet who commands all round respect. 2)India had Sunny,Kapil followed by Sachin.....don't see that kind of a big name in Bangladesh cricket....surely Shakib is world class but for some reason just not rated at that next level....they have some good upcoming and promising talent but I still think They have a long way to go before they become a Top 5 cricketing nation.....With Pak and WI being at their lowerst point and SL's stature after Sanga,Mahela and Dilshan's departure...this is probably their best shot

His list A avarage is 31. He played in 2012,13,14 DPL scored no 100 avaraging 26/27. Suddenly one season success and selectors picked him straight ignoring litton Das(top scorer),Rony Talukdar and others. They performed more well and also did good in previous matches too not one season wonder. Actually even if you consider 14/15 league Soumya was 3rd or 4th maybe and Rony(1st) and litton Das(2nd). So I was furious about that and thought Soumya has relatives in BCB.. But after I saw him play in ZIM series where he scored 20 of 17 I could understand why coach and selecters were so interested about him. Bcoz he owzes class which I didn't see in BD players after Kapali or Ashraful. But he have major temperament issue to deal with. He don't have any idea when to go for it. He seems clueless at the start of his innings. Even I can see he trys to play too often in off side but play horrible in leg side. Soon all will figure out that. Like all did in domestic already. That's why he hasn't scored a single 100 playing 60+ FC matches ! against guys like BD general domestic players. Our FC is poor. Even under 19 players aging 18/19 can score at least a 100. Really a horrible stat with avarage of 27. Isn't it strange for a elegant player like him. So only elegence will not win you anything. You need proper work ethic and most importantly proper mentality to handle it. That Ashraful and Kapali lacked. You see guys like Shakib with medicore unorthodox technic is comparatively more successfull. Also Bijoy and previous Nafees did better than Ashraful despite lack of elegence. Actually in BD players they have poor technic and good temperament or good technic and horribly poor temperament. My previous experience with over hyped elegent players are not good. So I can only hope Soumya can change his MIND but I don't see it at least for now.. I hope Litton Das or Shadman Islam Anik is different. I hope he is not a dommestic bully and offer good performance in future. We really need a world class batsman in our side who can go for a big. Tamim and Mushfiq are good. But I am talking about being in top 5 in ICC rankings and who owzes class and elegence.

Pak U19 were runners up last year; again we all know what happened to senior side just a few weeks back against BD.

We don't grow our talent later. On the other hand SA or Aussis players matures more in superb domestic competition. Actually our current talented players like Liton, Shadman are getting more used to this crappy domestic leagues that one day they will get used to it and forget what is World class bowling. . They are 20 .. it's not 16/17. They are now MATURE enough. Don't kill this talent in picnic league. No need to debut too young players like less than 19. But for this you can't only debut 25+ year old guy like Hom. Just look at Pak now. They give Ajmal a chance at 34 and Warnes favourite Yasir at 28/29. That's why they are now crap. I remember Anwar Ali of PAK taking 7 for against Rohit,Pujara's India in 2004. Where is he now?? Hope you understand my point. I know you can disagree me. That's alright. All don't have same Point Of VIEW
