Both Jadeja and Raina are out of the test team and also Varun Aaron got a chance in Test squad instead of Dhawal Kulkarni who is still in ODI squad as Dhoni loves his trundlers. The ODI squad also has the likes of Rayudu and Binny. The squad for the Bangladesh tour is as follows: Test squad: Virat Kohli (capt), M Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha, R Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Karn Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron, Ishant Sharma ODI squad: MS Dhoni (capt), Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Mohit Sharma, Stuart Binny, Dhawal Kulkarni

Don't expect any of Sir Jadeja, Biryani Rayudu and trundler bowlers with no swing etc to be dropped in ODI squad till Dhoni is the captain of the ODI and T20 teams. Binny's case is unique, he will remain in ODI squad regardless of captains due to his Dad being a selector.

Raina was never a test player but our selectors love to get ODI performers into test to see if they can do well. Case in point Yuvi. Don't think Raina was a case of CSK influence cos our selectors never learnt the lesson from Yuvi episode who was even in the test squad in 2012 England home tour. 3. Selection of Dhawal and Rayudu are infuriating to say the least. 4. Varun Aaron bowls the most tough to play deliveries but loses radar very fast too. I am not so gung ho about him (currently speaking). Clearly needs to work on his game big time. 5. What is Harbhajan doing in Tests

I agree, should have used Dhoni-Srini nexus in title just like my first/opening post as CSK does not have any real owners, Vice president and other employees, they just have enthusiasts :giggle: Now, the rabid CSK fanboys will attack this thread like a rabid dog but what's done is done.

Bhajji is no longer darting the ball around, he is giving flight and turning the ball a lot just like old days. He is replacing Jadeja in the test squad who is clearly not fit to play test cricket and not good enough to tie Harbhajan's shoes who is a legend with over 400 Test wickets, Jadeja's shortlived purple patch is over and with Dhoni-Srini nexus gone he will find it difficult to make it back. Besides, this is just a single test match chance given to Bhajji, if he bottles up then Amit Mishra, S. Gopal Kuldeep Yadav and others are ready to take his place in the squad.
