Texan Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 ...but but it is written in the Bible' date=' homosexuality is a sin. You know the book that God himself wrote. How can you go against God's word??[/quote'] No religion that I know of supports homosexuality. Why just point fingers at Christianity?
Deleted_User_1 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 disgusting Fecking homophobe!! :giggle: :finger: If two guys or gals love each other and want to make their lives more miserable by marrying each other, how is that affecting your life? No one is telling you to feck a dude in the auss. Live your life and let others live!! :two_thumbs_up: P.S. Homosexuality is common in the animal kingdom and humans are no more than a intelligent animal species. Religion teaches us all this bullshyt about what is normal, what is sin, etc etc. If you look at it from a pure scientific angle, homosexuality is a normal behavior for the inclined and it is a well researched fact it is not a choice. So gay marriage is issue about equal rights. Sex is not necessarily about procreation, but pleasure as well.
Deleted_User_1 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 No religion that I know of supports homosexuality. Why just point fingers at Christianity? I couldn't give a rat's ass about religion. That was the point I was trying to make.
rkt.india Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 No religion that I know of supports homosexuality. Why just point fingers at Christianity? Rajiv Malhotra on Homosexuality (giving a Hindu perspective) Quote>>>>> Point 1: Abnormal/unnatural is not immoral. Lets set aside moral judgment of homosexuality, and lets see it as a medical condition (which is how many gays want to see it also). Normal and natural eyes must have 20/20 vision, but I suffer bad eyesight. This is my physical condition, and you cannot make a moral judgment on the basis that it is "unnatural". All health problems are unnatural, and you can cite texts describing how the normal heart, lungs, eyes, etc ought to function. But proving my condition to be not normal does not prove me an immoral person. Point 2: There is no dharma policing of morality/immorality, provided it does not harm others. In Islam there is a religious police. Christianity stopped such enforcements after Reformation but for over 1,000 years it also had fatwa-like police powers with local bishops. But dharma does not make it the job of X to impose "good karmic conduct" upon Y. Whatever X does is a transaction between him and the cosmos and you/I are not middlemen incharge to enforce anything. Point 3: Relationship for social benefits can be a type other than conventional marriage. "Marriage" in modern society has economic benefits of things like inheritance, social security, health care, etc. Any 2 persons regardless of gender or sexuality should be able to share such benefits by mutual contract. Even 2 sadhus who are brahmacharyis living together as a matter of practicality and economic/security sharing, ought to be able to have a mutual contract to share such benefits with each other. This has nothing to do with the fact that they are 100% free of sexuality in their relationship. Perhaps in defining legal rights, the term "marriage" needs to be replaced by "relationship" such that any pair can define to be in a relationship and enjoy the economic benefits provided under law. Marriage would be one kind of relationship in which sexuality is included, but there would be other kinds of relationships permitted as well. <<<<
Vilander Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 same sex marriage could stop population explosion so its good.
Vilander Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Everyone in India on FB is celebrating. Makes me wonder why! :wall: its hep to do so..FB is about vanity.
hhunaeh Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 This much of support should have been shown when gay people in India were protesting against 377 last year
Khalpat Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 same sex marriage could stop population explosion so its good. This will also lead to confused generation who will always wonder what to insert inside and where to insert inside.
rkt.india Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Homosexuality has never been considered a crime in Hindu culture. In fact, Lord Ayyappa was born of Hari-Hara (Vishnu & Shiva). It is not a crime in any Smriti. Everyone has male & female elements. According to their dominance, tendencies show up & may change. Nobody should face discrimination because of their sexual preferences. To be branded a criminal for this is absurd.
mishra Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Three :cheer: to Pride bigade. But real vicory will be when its becomes mandatory. Starting from school textbook on Sex education :hehe:
Khalpat Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Three :cheer: to Pride bigade. But real vicory will be when its becomes mandatory. Starting from school textbook on Sex education :hehe: First let the 80% population of India convince their Parents, Mama, Chacha, Tau about intercaste and inter religion marriage. We have long way to go before even we can start the discussion on same sex marriage. India is a long way from legalization of same-sex marriage. But decriminalization of gay sex in Sec 377 is a no-brainer & I hope it happens
zen Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Those seeking to go to the US have another loophole to exploit ----> Now they can marry a guy on paper and get US Visas :P How to determine who is the husband and who is the wife? :hmmmm:
zen Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Imagine that you go to a sauna hoping to relax. But the sauna is filled with gays and they start to "legally" check you out :hysterical:

A homosexual friend of mine from Iran faced it when he applied for asylum in the US.

Did Vishnu and Shiva get married before Lord Ayyappa was born? Did the government deny or provide them with tax breaks :-)? Even in the US, homosexuality itself was legal. It was the marriage part that was under question, and now that is legal too.

Homosexuality is common in the animal kingdom and humans are no more than a intelligent animal species. Religion teaches us all this bullshyt about what is normal, what is sin, etc etc. Is this an argument ? should we legalise all animal sexual behaviour, animal also engage in incest, inter species sex and not to forget forced sex is very common in animals If you look at it from a pure scientific angle, homosexuality is a normal behavior for the inclined and it is a well researched fact it is not a choice. So gay marriage is issue about equal rights. Sex is not necessarily about procreation, but pleasure as well. Not true there are core gays but there are also people who may incline toward homosexual behaviour if society is open about homosexual relations In a survey that included 885 people between the ages of 18 and 24, the survey showed that 31% of women and only 7% of men were most often sexually attracted to people of the opposite sex, but were also attracted to people of their own gender as well. http://datedaily.mate1.com/sex-tips/swedish-women-have-lesbian-tendencies#.VZKkpZvvalQ How come percentage of people with same sex attraction is high in liberal country like sweden
mishra Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Marriage is religious thing by the religious institutions. Its not about what science and logic says. I dont see a problem in someone being a gay. Problem lies when someone says that I can be a Christian/Hindu/Muslim and a gay and want the blessing of a religious institution for marriage. Isnt As long as Church,Mosque, temple priest being forced to accept something because court has forced a ruling over them. Why do you want Priests(whatever religion) to be forced to give their blessing.

Why do you want Priests(whatever religion) to be forced to give their blessing. Marriage is no longer just a religious institution. It is a legal contract sanctioned by the government because the government provides benefits to married couples. And all the discussion is based on the availability of those benefits. No one should care whether a priest or mullah sanctions the marriage. As long as you can get a certificate from the registrar, you are good to go and can avail the benefits due to you.
