Agree with you but the fact is the Nagpur does not come under Maharashtra cricket Association, it comes under Vidharba cricket association, Nagpur people have been demanding separate Vidharba state with Nagpur as capital for quite a few years but there is no Telangana-KCR type of leader who can create enough noise, they just need one popular leader for the statehood of Vidharba to become a reality.

Both cities have hosted enough cricket IMO. Speaking of Chepuk, what is the situation on those locked stands? If Chennai missed out Hyderabad or Bangalore should have been given a chance. remember Bangalore had security issues in the past during IPL. May be this also played a part. The only missing city is Hyderabad. We should also consider the travel for players I think may be it missed because of that. I mean let say if the semis were hosted in north the travel time will be more. But that's just a guess also I don't know how strong the Hyderabad lobby is. shiv lal yadav doesn't care may be. Don't worry, I am quite sure Bangalore will receive marquee matches like Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Bangalore crowd and stadium is amongst the noisiest in the World due to the stadium aerodynamics and loud crowds, I will surely book tickets here.

High court has ordered demolition of the stands . Fair enough not having in Chennai becoz of stadium issues but should have been Bangalore hosting the final this time

These matches are not to promote cricket across the nation, there are plenty of bilateral tours, IPLs for that. In India, Gardens and Wankhede are the 2 most prestigious and best stadiums. So its obvious most high profile world events in cricket are hosted here. In Australia, MCG hosted WC final both in 92 and 15. People did not go and comlain why not Sydney or Brisbane? Lords hosted all the WC finals in Eng - 75,79,83,99. Finals are always hosted in Johannesburg SA. Atleast in India, BCCI divides the finals into two seperate grounds. People are still not happy :facepalm: I mean who wants to see a big world cup final in Bangalore stadium??

I agree with your post except the part where you called Wankhede among the top 2 most prestigious grounds. IMO Chepauk is the beta after Eden. The history, milestones, events, classics and crowd put Chepauk at number 2.

If you hdd visited some australian cricket forum after the 2015 worldcup match allocations, there would have been some sydney members complaining why not SCG over MCG for the finals.
