He is not converting starts. When you are out of form you understand. Like Kohli was on England tour could not buy a run. But in Pujara's case its not form. He is hitting it well but getting out at wrong time. More of mental issues I guess.

div Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Both Dhawan and Pujara were unlucky...playing 13 overseas test matches in a row against quality new-ball attacks is not easy. Steyn-Philander Southee-Bolt Clouderson-Broad Harris-Johnson Even Sehwag and Dravid would have struggled.

div Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 ^ Rahane is a middle-order batsman and Vijay is more experienced than Pujara and Dhawan....Infact Vijay was dropped from the team after that WI tour(2011),another away series at that time might have affected his confidence(England 2011).

When he started out, Dravid used to crouch a lot more in his stance, with his head falling over a bit towards the off side. His bat, coming from the gully region, forced him to make a huge loop at the top of the backlift. It isn't just his batting, but also his body that seems to have degraded big time. He seems to have aged by 10 years in a couple of seasons.

These 50s won't help you cos when you hit a bad patch of form, you won't have anything to show for your performance and will be dropped. The odds of him getting back to his old self and fading away are 50-50.

Facing those bowlers certainly wasnt easy , which implies they wer clearly found out against good bowlers .
