I always supported him when I could, but when he consistently failed, I wanted him to be dropped. But right now, I will suppor the dude and would tell all to do so to. I hope he gets a longer run here in test. I see Pujara-Kohli combo going long way for us and even Rohit will add great value to it hopefully. We shouldn't mix ODI to test. Let's give the dude a proper run and keep our test match loss disappointment away. I know it hurts to lose a game like this but he's not the first player who hasn't scored well on his first away tours. Many great players fail and then pick themselves up. I think Rohit showed that in his first innings here in this test. He deserves a good run and definite few test matches in England before we can make a call on him.

That does not give him a free ride to get out for low score in the 2nd innings. Also he failed in the first innings without even doing half the job.

He has scored the 2nd highest number of runs in this test for India.......People kept picking on Ishant and jeez despite picking 9 wickets he was still ridiculed....we need to move on and accept that collectively the team is not clicking yet

He is not the culprit and doesn't deserve to be dropped. But someone who played so well in the first innings, you would expect some confidence in the 2nd innings. The ball was 60 overs old here and the bowlers were mostly tired. But all he did was just shut the shop. Not even a single shot from him was with confidence. He just podded around till new ball came and then got out first ball. His front foot game needs to improve. He is just in the crease when he is playing front foot defense. So whenever the ball is pitched up he is never confident.

I am not defending him for that...yes he should have been a bit more positive....totally agree......But for some reason it all keeps coming back to Rohit and Ishant as you can see from above posts despite so many other clear blatant F ups that sometimes I am just tempted to troll for the hell of it.

My reaction is how people are bumping it and laughing at his failur in the 2nd inning. Still people feel he is not goood enough.
Cricketics Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 look at the chances he ha got in his career I agree but let's not mix test match to odi's yaar. He has not even played grand total of 10 test matches. We just can't drop a player with avereage of 50 runs. You have to give him a run.
