In T20,They can be played instead of Dhoni...Rayudu is more of a conventional batsman though where as Uthappa is more of a hit or miss...would take Dhoni over Uthappa though

Tiwary surely deserves a chance. What all of you are underestimating is the psychological aspect of the game. Rohit Sharma needs to be away from spotlight to work on his game and come back a better player. This series of constant failures is haunting him, and he has hardly any time to work on his game as well. He is always under pressure, he's always getting written about, he's become a butt of jokes, and every tournament is like the last one for him (from his POV). The atmosphere is not conducive for good cricket, and that is another reason why he is failing. Give someone else a chance (Tiwary should be the one in pecking order) and give him a run. In the meantime, let Rohit go back to the domestics and come back a stronger player. If he can sort himself out, he'll be of great use after the seniors retire. But at this rate, he might be finished much before his actual shelf life.

In T20s - Tiwary did not have a good IPL season this year, but he can construct an innings and hit pretty well during death overs too. Can bowl a few overs, and is obviously a very sharp fielder. In Tests - His domestic average is close to 60, but he pretty much failed in the WI-A series. Is susceptible to the short ball too, so I am not sure how good he'll be in Tests. But he surely can do well in T20s and ODIs if he brings his A-game along.

You are right about Rohit mentally and he just implodes from whatever I have seen of him. TBF, I don't think domestic cricket is the right place for him. He should pack his bags and head over to country cricket.

Need the mentality or at least hunger to go with the talent/technique. In his mid-20s and has not developed at all - what exactly does he offer to the team? Won't cut it in the grind of county cricket and there's not exactly a long list of teams lining up to sign an overweight and unprofessional "talent". The sooner Ind cricket realises he belongs to the past the better.

Love watching him bat now. So improved since 12 months ago. Really come on. Kudos selectors for giving him the exposure and time. He looks magnificent now, with a technique for all forms of the game. He is a proper player now and a player who is going to give us a lot of joy over next 10 years

Never write of youth and never write of a talented youngster. They have abilty to improve massivley. Sharma is brillinat. Get him in the test side asap

Look, IDK if he will or if he will not - I am not an astrologer and I would avoid making predictions for what holds for him in the future. I am just trying to make suggestions on what I think would be useful for him if he's interested in improving the game. I know he does not read this forum but Hey! I am putting my thoughts across. Anyways, I hope he realizes the fundamental issues and works on them. If the individual does not want to improve, there's nothing we can do. As we have seen in the past - players get extended runs both IN the team and OUT of the team as well.

He should have played more positively, should have attacked spinners like Faf. Poor innings in the end. Though dont think we would still have qualified when top batsmen fail and wastes so many balls of power play, it is hard to come back and put a big total. We needed 180 here.

Team management is at fault here too. There should have been a clear mandate for every batsman bar 1, most probably Kohli who would try to stay there for 20 overs, should have gone for big shots and play freely rather than just getting stuck because it would not have taken us anywhere as we had to win big, loss or just simple win would not have mattered. We needed at least 170-180 there to make up for RR.

Moreover, Yuvraj missed a straightforward slower ball. We need to stop making 2 + 2 = 5 here, getting too much now. He did not play well PERIOD
